Feinsand- Tyler Anderson has been scratched from his start for the Pirates tonight, and it appears as though he will be traded to the Phillies very soon. The Mets were interested in Anderson, as well, but it looks like he's headed to an NL East division rival instead.

Wow, that's a big get. Graveman has been filthy this year. His stuff is completely different than it was as a starter. And Montero is a nice potential reclamation project.

I really don't understand why Seattle would do that. They're hot, they had a massive win over Houston last night, and they're 1 GB of Oakland for the second WC spot.

Sad to see Toro(fellow Canadian) go but with Diaz coming back as the utility man and Bregman nearing a return, he was expendable (and 1 of few trade chips they have). And as much as I wanted Joe Smith to have a chance at a World Series, he was sucking and probably would have been designated for assignment to clear a 40 man roster spot. With that said, glad to get Graveman. And hopefully Strom can fix the other guy. Click talked big and backed it up. Hopefully more to come

We’re looking at replays of Trea Turner after he went first-to-third in the top of the first. He slid into third and didn’t look super comfortable. Then went straight down the tunnel after scoring on Josh Bell’s homer. Didn’t go down the dugout and celebrate with everyone.

This is unreal as a Mariners fan this makes zero sense. Graveman was our best RP and we trade him to our rival who were trying to chase down. Pissed. Mariners doing Mariners crap

A random and totally minor bit of DFA news from the Tigers just now in that they designated Ian Krol to make room for Fulmer to come off the IL. Given the time of year, I think Krol will be claimed pretty quick and maybe then just included in some trade Avila is working on, as long as the waiver claim order doesn’t screw that up I guess. Just seems like a kinda odd day to designate someone, especially someone on as cheap a deal as Krol. (Had something like 5 appearances from bullpen; 1 of those bad, 4 OK).

Probably a lot more scout watching tonight.

It does sound like they're expecting the Mariners to make multiple more trades, possibly even tonight, and not necessarily selling. Maybe they're getting assets for a pending FA while still improving their team overall

Graveman soon the be free agent and 4 years of control for Toro. Seager could be gone so Toro is the replacement. Apparently Mariners players pissed about the trade which is understandable.

Has to be part of a bigger deal. Otherwise dealing Graveman makes zero sense. Hopefully DiPoto had the bigger deal agreed to prior to making this move. Would hate to see it fall through and end up having to wear egg on his face.

We're hot and winning close games but being brutally honest, this team isn't a World Series team on paper right now. Anything can happen when you make the playoffs, but I'm more happy with building for the future.

Only part I'm pissed about is the fact he went to the Astros and that's the only part about it. If he went to anyone else it'd be less rage and more of a "well that's kinda understandable" kind of thing. Would rather have a season of barely missing the playoffs than making an all-out push and putting us back another 2-3 years.

Also fully trust Jerry to pull off a few more trades considering how they've built this roster, and there's been some encouraging signs that ownership may be willing to start spending a bit more with Haniger coming up as a FA and some of these younger guys are hitting the bigs
