Finally found some Walmart hangers out in the wild (I think someone's been cleaning them out in my area). Pulled my best card yet - Rapinoe purple ink auto.

Did not get any extra set from Parkside.. My 10 boxes, 6 were banged up like crazy and one pack the cards had bad corners..

Pretty much got nothing.. Fun rip, but seriously probably not worth the $$

Has anyone seen/heard any news about hobby boxes of the NWSL coming out? I asked at a local shop today and the guy said he thinks he'll get some in, and I checked the original press release from Parkside that mentioned the cards being sold at hobby shops.

Haven't heard of any hobby format, but that would be nice.

Pulled the Americana insert today, along with a Morgan Luminescent, which was the last Luminescent I needed to complete my set.



Not sure how much more I'll rip open at this point, but definitely fun while it lasted.

Ah, nope. My memory mixed up two different players. And that post was at nine boxes (4 on my trip, 5 more from Walmart online).

And I just picked up nine more today from a pair of Walmarts - a total of 18 now. Sorting to try to build the set has me 23 short in the back half (101-200); I'll be working through 1-100 in the next few days. Still haven't found any Lynn Williams haha

The attached picture shows my top inserts: 4 Cityscapes, 1 auto, 1 Hyped and 1 Luminance.

I think I'm done buying these retail unless I see them at Target to use my $3 gift card through T-Mobile. I'll pick up singles and/or wait to see if it comes out in hobby.

So on my way back home I stopped by a Walmart to see if they had any and bought the 10 boxes they had. Easily the best group of 10 boxes from one store I opened out of the 146 total.

How big is women’s footy in the US over here in the UK it’s rarely talked about though in the last few years there has been an increase in women pundits etc.

I’d say it’s about the same over here, rarely talked about, but in the last few years it’s been picking up interest.

Yea, you don't hear much about it here, but the USWNT puts us on the map with how dominant they have been the last 6 years. Best women's team in the world will do that. I didn't even know about the NWSL until the card set came out, but it has been around for nearly 10 years.

Wow...

Just came home from Legends Field after watching the Spirit play KC - had front row seats, right behind the goal (opposite goal just has a grassy knoll behind it). Didn't take too many pics, but man, what an experience.











Trinity Rodman is amazing. She had a nice assist to Ashley Sanchez for the equalizer, and then scored the winning goal in stoppage time.

I was able to get a few autos after the game - wanted to get Trinity's obviously, but she had to get medical attention and bounced after that. Could've gotten way more autos, but didn't bring enough cards with me! Lesson learned for next time

Wow man, that's awesome. I'm hoping to catch a Spirit game in July. So did most/all players sign? When is the best time to get autographs? Were there a bunch of people trying to get signatures? I have a full team set of Spirit that I'll work on getting signed.

Most players were signing after the game - the stadium has one main tunnel where both teams exit out of, so I just hung around that spot and politely asked as they were leaving. There were probably 15-20 people there asking for autos (mainly kids with a handful of adults/parents). I was the only person that had trading cards to sign that I noticed.

Nice photos! They play at a baseball stadium right? Were the sightlines decent throughout? I went to see FC KC before they moved them to Utah and they literally played at a soccer complex used for youth games. There were several other youth games going on the same time and the players had to walk through the parking lot to get from the dressing room to the field. Like right through our tailgate. Awkward!

Glad to see some folks discovering the NWSL. I've had Red Stars season tickets for 5 years or so. The league is marketed to families/kids very heavily so player availability for autographs is very high. I don't get autos outside STH events, but players go around the stadium after every game to sign and take photos.

If you're near Louisville or Portland consider going to the Womens Cup tournaments this summer. 2 NWSL teams vs 2 international teams. I'm going to Louisville for Racing, Chicago, Bayern, and PSG.
