You are wasting your time ballhawk. For some reason people don't want to give Trae credit. (and even when they do, it's a slight nod and then they credit his team) If Luka had that performance last night, blowout would have freaked out. But it's trae, so no biggie. I really don't get it. EVERY SERIES he's been the difference maker. This is his first time in the playoffs people. Let that sink in. At least all the national sports channels and radio shows get it. They are giving credit where credit is due. Last edited by blackbears86; 06-24-2021 at 06:32 PM. |

don't even have to imagine - go back just a short while ago in this thread and see the pages of praise people were heaping on KD - and he was being guarded by Tucker, a guy 6 inches shorter and probably the Bucks' 5th best defender... Jrue's got quite a bit of size on Trae, and is their best defender not named Giannis. What Trae did in game 1 is way more impressive to me than what KD did. |

With 48 and 11, that’s at least 70 of Atlanta’s 116 points that he’s responsible for in some way. That doesn’t even take into consideration how many hockey assist type plays he sets up with the pressure he puts on the defense. His pick and roll game with Collins and Capela is a nightmare to defend. He’s the primary ball handler, scorer, facilitator, and clutch performer. I know that he can’t defend well, but his offensive burden is massive, and he’s stepped up in the playoffs in a big way up until this point. He’s the ultimate competitor, and I appreciate that. |

The way these playoffs have been going... I fully expect this "SEEEE TRAE IS DA BEST" narrative to get flipped on it's head, and flip flop at least 3 more times before this thing is done.
First, everyone will start to turn on Trae when he goes 4-22 with 6 TOs next game, while Middleton drops 35. THEN, Milwaukee runs off two straight in ATL to take a commanding 3-1 lead, and everyone declares them the champs. THEN, Atlanta wins two in a row to bring it to a game 7, with Cam Reddish somehow becoming the hero of games 5 & 6. To cap it off Giannis clinches game 7 by hitting all his 4th quarter FTs and a clutch jumper in the final minute. |

100% agree. And really, who are the Bucks game planning for? Huerter? Capella? Collins? Who's name is written in big letters on the board in the Bucks locker room? TRAE. And they still couldn't stop him. |

Haters always hate....
LeBron wins, his greatness performance rules the court; he loses, his teammates fail to deliver. Trae wins, his teammates (even all non all NBA, non all stars, etc...) are showing up ; when he loses, Trae is bad and poorly executed. So, you get the haters mindset... |

I don't think it's hate, more just discounting his impact on the game and how well he's been playing in these playoffs. Dude has been a monster. Maybe people feel threatened because of the Luka connection? Personally, I think Luka is better, but Trae is damn good. |

Or does it have to be one or the other? I know the answer.

I must be in the minority on bo, i like both luka and trae, have gold prizm cards of both. Think trae is way more fun to watch play as i watched 80% of regular season hawks games and maybe only 20 mavs games. He has fun on the court, the nutmegs, inbound off the defenders shoulders, backboard alley oops. Hes made for tv like few other nba stars in the past. Bo has always hated trae but never watched him play.

What might seem like "choosing sides" or flip-flopping is just giving props to players when they step up in big moments. same here

That's crazy that the game winner from last game was Ayton's first game winner at any level.
No wonder he was so damn happy. |

Booker just forcing shots.
Payne and Ayton pick and roll is money. Just stick with what works

Have to wonder how much the mask is messing with Booker.
