I had two club level seats on the west side of the stadium for the Broncos your seats must be nicer than mine were. Once they went over $200 per seat I had to let them go couldn’t afford it anymore. I had a great time tho. We were part of a big group that tailgated every game. Had seats during the whole Peyton Manning run. Took my son to championship game when we beat the patriots. The memories were worth every penny.

Not sure about golf though. You’re always trying to find a good view. TV is much better as you can see so many good shots from different players across the course. I had a great time at East Lake when Tiger won the Tour Championship but like watching it more on TV. That’s if you even call golf a sport

This was atrocious. Kind of stepped away from following breaks and prices lately. $5200 for a box of NT? How is it even possible to get any value at that price. Everyone has lost their minds, and no wonder it has been hard to find breaks to watch.

The Ruggs RPA/3 was a great hit and so was the AU/5 Rodgers but altogether that's about $1.5k-$3k? That's about as good as it gets without an RPA of Burrow/Herbert/Tua....so the buyer took a $17k loss? Nuts

I assume everyone has to list this stuff above Blackrose prices. But many will set them at auction and just take the hit. There’s no way people are paying the prices I’ve seen listed for singles on eBay on certain players. I collect Matt Ryan (I know haha). But I see people pull his 2020 low numbered cards and list them high and haven’t sold. I assume other player collectors see the same with their guy.

Those were terrific years.

And playoff tickets in the club, assuming you got them directly, are the best deal in sports. While everyone else gets huge price increases, club level tickets are locked. About half the price of a regular season games there's no PSL for playoff tickets.

Yeah, I have pretty good seats. We got first option when this stadium opened twenty years ago, and I've kept em ever since.

I'm actually moving slightly closer to the 50 starting this year. It's really only about 6 feet, and the same price, but even better seats opened up last year, and I grabbed em.

And since my contract is locked in for the next four years, they cannot raise prices on me until then. (Like they just did for the upper and lower bowl seats.)

Try getting Panini to do anything like that.

Or getting them to sell me Rolling Stones tickets, in my seats, at cost.

I love collecting cards. But it's only because they let me relive my experiences at the games. That's the whole point to me.

But at these prices, they really don't add anything at all anymore. It's still just cardboard after all.

I'll stick to Contenders singles.

I do.

He has a few cards I want, and pretty badly.

But I wont even look at his listings anymore. His prices are roughly 10X comps.

I almost feel sorry for the flippers with this one.

Almost.

Mike Evans 2020 is absurdly ridiculously high. I won't touch them at the prices I am seeing them at

And ending up with a small stack of not game used complete junk, a few stickers, an ALREADY fading autograph, and three code cards. Two redemptions in one box that cost over 5 thousand dollars is an unbelievable slap in the face by Panini.

"Dear collector, Congratulations! You've been screwed in the ass by Panini like few others. You are special!"

Opening this crap with a shotgun would have been mercy.

And did he say all that was for one guy? Why in the world would anyone let someone else open his case? I wouldn't do the with a $20 blaster, let alone something like this. Twenty-three grand and you didn't even get to open it?

Ya sure, go ahead and dive my brand new Ferrari before I get it. Go ahead and drive it like Jeremy Clarkson.

Man, the stupid stuff I read on this forum.... This takes the cake, by far.

Just for comparison, I pay about $7,000 a year for two prime club seats and one prime parking pass for Broncos season tickets. And I get a great deal as I am in a long term contract.

This guy just spent more on this than I will over the next three years going to games.

His wife SHOULD kill him, lol.
Where exactly in this did you talk about football cards?

About half the post is you complaining and whining about the price of the product. You then proceed on about how the breaker takes the boxes out of the case, talk multiple times about using a shotgun? lol. Talk about how you would never buy into a break and are seemingly against the thought of it as a whole, talk about your Broncos season tickets (speaking of things nobody cares about) and then make up a wife for the guy who did buy this product who should kill him.

So yea, if you want to talk about football cards, feel free but that wasn't what you did in the post I initially commented on. You used your warped views on multiple things and projected them into football cards.

Yeah, you're right. None of that had anything to do with football cards.

It was all just a personal slam at some stranger on the internet giving his opinion on something. You got me.

I sure hope to never meet you either.

Yeah 2020 stuff is off but I honestly think guys like Mike Evans and Deandre Hopkins prices are too low. I know they’re WRs but they get no love on this I only care about QB market. I mean $70 for each of their Contenders autos seems odd based on the current market.

That was maybe a $17k loss? This product looks like a bunch of trash minus the RPA’s. I lost count of how many nobody sticker autos and “player worn” /99 jersey cards were pulled.

And I over-reacted, lol.

Anyway, guys, I have a question about breaks. Specifically like the two breaks shown here.

I have nothing against breaks. I don't collect that way often, but I have done pretty well over the years with breaks.

In 2016 I got a spot for Rod Smith in a case of Classics. I had already purchased the auto sticker from the product (#4/6) and I was really just hoping for one of the parallels.

I didn't hit one.

I did hit the #1/6 auto though, and got this spot for about $7.00, including the 3 or 4 bucks shipping.

Believe me, I have nothing against breaks.

But every break I have ever been in had spots. Teams, players, whatever. They were never for the entire case, where someone else would open what are all my cards on their video channel.

It's one thing to buy a spot, but now it's a thing to have other people open the product that you bought, like a box or case?

In both these breaks, the guy only claimed to have one buyer for each case. He said nothing about spots or anything. I believe a "Shawn" got the second one. Not 32 or more people who bought spots.

Is ripping not a thing anymore? Forget the price, but why would I have someone else open my box or case of cards on their channel?

So now it's a thing for dealers to buy cases, and instead of just sending them to the buyers to open themselves, they open them on their video channel?

That's what appeared to happen here in both these breaks.

I don't know if this has been mentioned BUT for this product to be super highend why would it have sticker auto's, no game used, lineman cards, and players like Larry Johnson & Cardarelle Patterson in it?

The stickers and jerseys for NT aren’t new, hasn’t been a great product for quite a while now outside of the RPA‘s.

Though Panini adjusted to demand and further watered value done, by filling up the product with more of this nonsense.

I can’t blame Panini on this, they‘re cashing in on the buyers behavior.
If people are ok with Stickers & player worn jerseys than that’s what they get.
If people are only in it for the gambling of the RPA, than they‘ll configure the entire product for the hunt.

Gamblers might have to lick their wounds at one point, but as long as people don’t speak with their wallets that‘ll be the „High End“ we‘ll continue to see.

I got fed up with NT in 2018 when it was ~$900 a box with sticker autos. Football NT is one of the laziest and overhyped products. People (me included) will bag on Panini for 86 chrome variations per product but a High End product with player worn RPAs and sticker autos is the worst.

Couldn’t give a hoot about the RPA’s this year either.

#1. Not even player worn— just authentic mem. While this has been across the board for 2020, I just figured for the most highly touted rookie card Panini would have sent out jerseys to the rookies for this release. They’ve been touching and signing redemptions, they can throw on a jersey for two seconds. COVID excuse doesn’t fly.

#2. Not sure if this is across the board, but at least for my guy CeeDee they used a college photoshop uni pic for his NT true RPA. With the abundance of in-game photos available at this point and the amount included in this product, how one is not used on the /99 NT RPA is beyond me.

Well, I'm guessing "Out of Stock" is relative. I don't believe for a second they sold out at this price.

Cut a deal for the big 3 to take it at a discounted price so it doesn't make they look so bad?? Maybe.

Did they pull it down to let it simmer a bit with plans to put it back up again?
Also possible.

First Herbert True RPA #/99 Auctions trending to 30k+, I think that's enough for the gamblers to go all in ....

If all you are chasing is a Herbert RPA, you are probably buying in a case break for about $1k less than the price of one box. And I'm pretty sure that the folks that are breaking this by the case are not going to be paying $4250 plus tax on the website. I could be wrong.
