We are in strange times, no doubt. I saw the checklist today and I just don't see why anyone would be excited.

Herbert? OK. Fair. He's good.

Burrow got hurt and plays for the Bengals. Tua was underwhelming on a great defensive team. Wideouts are fun, but do I see a lock HOF player here? No.

Sure there's "straight fire" in there but there's mostly just blah stuff. I saw one card I wanted. ONE.

of non-RPAs only the Mahomes Prizm Super Bowl Signatures card will draw universal interest.

crazy.

Just wanted to give everyone some perspective before the insanity of tomorrow hits.
Yup, I bought 4 boxes for $1200 each which I thought was too much.
I wouldn't buy a single box at $2500.

EDIT: Just realized the FOTL dutch already happened. WTF?!? I never got an email or notification on my phone. Though I guess it doesn't matter since I wouldn't have paid half of what they are going for.

Maybe it's a really late April Fool's joke? Or that's the price for a case?
You could buy 2 1/2 ounces of gold bullion or 8 football cards.

Checklist for Seahawks is awful

Autos
Freddie Swain
Jordyn Brooks
Deejay Dallas
Wilson /3
Lockett /49
Wilson/Metcalf /25
Wilson/Metcalf/Lockett /5
Greg Olsen (Seahawks jersey?)

This would be rough at $50 a case break. At hundreds per spot you could just buy a Wilson RC auto.

That's arguable. Higher risk, higher reward. You could make your money back twofold-threefold or be out $4+K with no cards to show for it. At least if you're buying a hobby box, you're assuring yourself something.

Hopefully forever!!! The only way to correct the price gouging is to stop buying at these insane prices.

Layton breaks also show lots of redemptions. I have redemptions sitting at Panini for months with no movement. I wonder even if you get a good one when Panini will get around to sending it to you. Josh Allen and Joe Burrow were redemption cards among others.

Just did a case break and got lucky with 5 cards. I'm out of NT now. Cards are plain looking anyways.

Is this the longest a product has lasted on the Panini website in the last 6 months?

Anyone else think they're pretty ugly this year? Not much I've seen out of this that I like so far.

“The enclosed authentic memorabilia is not from any specific game or event”

They don’t even say player worn/used anymore. What’s the point

And the price is $4000/box

Yeh, it's effectively manufactured patch cards now.

Crazy to me. Haven’t picked up any mem cards or RPA’s last year or this year.

The statement on the back of the new Origins Basketball jersey cards is even worse:

“The enclosed officially licensed material is not associated with any specific player, game, or event”

Now THAT really leaves no hope of it being relevant in any way

They don't have to. All of it selling out in minutes regardless... we will see more 1/1s, Mitchell and Ness Patch cards, and more of the same hot players in every release to appease the current crowd. The standard collectors got out back when Score was $250 a bix.

WOW!

Just wow!

That has to be the worst thing I have ever seen in this hobby.

Starting with the unbelievable cost.

Followed by a guy who actually slams a "$23,000.00" case on the table to get the boxes out. Seriously dude? THIS is how you treat other people's property? Why not use a shotgun?

And ending up with a small stack of not game used complete junk, a few stickers, an ALREADY fading autograph, and three code cards. Two redemptions in one box that cost over 5 thousand dollars is an unbelievable slap in the face by Panini.

"Dear collector, Congratulations! You've been screwed in the ass by Panini like few others. You are special!"

Opening this crap with a shotgun would have been mercy.

And did he say all that was for one guy? Why in the world would anyone let someone else open his case? I wouldn't do the with a $20 blaster, let alone something like this. Twenty-three grand and you didn't even get to open it?

Ya sure, go ahead and dive my brand new Ferrari before I get it. Go ahead and drive it like Jeremy Clarkson.

Man, the stupid stuff I read on this forum.... This takes the cake, by far.

Just for comparison, I pay about $7,000 a year for two prime club seats and one prime parking pass for Broncos season tickets. And I get a great deal as I am in a long term contract.

This guy just spent more on this than I will over the next three years going to games.

His wife SHOULD kill him, lol.
