Pretty sure the halt was done today because Prizm releases tomorrow.

Right here bruh. This is platinum.

As much as people want this to be a negative it’s a PSA positive

Yeah, I'm actually OK with it. I'd rather get the 5 submissions I have out there back sooner.

I can't speak for everyone, but I love buying cheap and flipping for a profit. That allows me to buy things for my PC without having to fork out my own cash.

Edit - Forgot to mention - grading through PSA has helped a lot in that regard.

Either way they made this “big announcement” about the property expansion yesterday

If prices in general DO rise as a result of people spending money they would’ve spent on submissions back into the hobby, then grading proves itself irrelevant. It will be interesting to see which niches are most affected.

If prices generally subside, then it only proves submitters aren’t interested in cards, only slabs.

What they need is submissions carts in malls and high traffic areas. I would open a few.

Not that people on here care about the Collector's Universe stock but how does not taking most orders for a minimum of 3 months not tank the stock?

They should have done this months ago. Good on them for finally biting the bullet.

Not sure how this hurts sealed wax botters. I could see it hurting group subbers though.

Sending into PSA in this era generally means you are interested in the flip. I’m sure if PSA did a study, they would find hundreds of thousands of first time and serial submitters. I have been collecting since 1984 and I have submitted to PSA 3x before the 2020. I’m not saying purists don’t send in cards. I am just talking about the ratio of flippers vs. collectors.

No way the sports world gained millions of hobby enthusiasts over the course of a pandemic. Once the pandemic simmers , let’s see which way the hobby goes. This hobby isn’t a cheap habit!

Wait...dont all the Prizm cards on release need to be returned to Panini for print lines, bubbles, anything pulled that aren’t pristine 10’s before they actually go to PSA? This could take years...

I love making what people PC more expensive, especially when it allows me to buy cards I wouldn’t have been able to afford. What do you PC?

Not...

You mean the private company?

I wonder if, when they come back, there are going to be stricter limits on the number of things that can be submitted (for example, no more than 1 submission per person every 30 days, or no more than 100 cards per submission).

Otherwise when they throw the doors open again they'll get 3 million cards the first week and end up right where they are now.

There is no public stock option, the company is private.

Sure, but the hobby will be much cheaper without the flippers!

This hurts everyone, but I don't mind it if it means catching up on orders that are 6 months+ old. No excuses for that.

Hell yeah. Might actually get back football cards before football season that should've been back to me already.
