Certainly not the most valuable but I just think it's such a cool-looking card.

In psa 10 I think the only base card more $$ is the sapphire chrome, right?

SPs/variations don't count as "base"?

Sadly not too crazy of a story, other than I was a firm believer in Acuna early and I bought both of the supers at auction early before he lived up to the hype and the card boom. The sapphire super is in great hands as the person who bought it from me really wanted it badly! Unfortunately I didn’t pull either :-/

Sapphire (extremely low pop) followed by Bat Down (Modern Classic).

Yep, conventional definitions be damned, I agree with this take.

Any reason why an Acuna Sapphire is like 1/2 the price of a Vlad Sapphire. Similar Pop. Not talking about the Bat down.

Disregard I was comparing 2019 to 2019. Probably would help if I compared RC to RC Sapphire.

Hard to say...is the RC logo worth $150 more than the "1st Bowman" which is the difference in comps right now. Gem mint pop data are nearly identical...though I would venture a wild guess that maybe more Topps Chrome might be opened in the future as opposed to the small box Bowman Chrome mega which might mean a bit more of an increase in the gem mint population of the Topps Chrome. In the long run, think the Mega print run will also prove to be smaller than the TC.

10k? I would easily walk up to someone with my BGS 10 & open my hand for that amount. I've only had 1 offer at $8500.

Is it about 150 more. I find the refractor slightly easier to find. both around 650-700. Am I wrong?

The best looking Acuna rookies are the flagship SSP (white jersey) and the Heritage Action (Sapphire is overdone to me). Value wise, I don't see anything beating out the bat down version in the long run unless a couple thousand show up that are not currently in circulation (still in unopened packs).

Best looking Acuna rookie cards IMO

1. Heritage Black Refractor
2. Heritage Action
3. Bat Down

there are buy it nows/best offers on both cards...the difference is around 150...you can try making offers...the mega you should be able to get for 150 less than the TC right now...or try your luck on auctions also.

Is the Bat down considered a SSP or SSSP? Is the Heritage action a SP or SSP?

SSSP is an eBay gimmick that doesn't exist and I'd have a difficult time calling a card where there are 10,000+ out there a super short print. Both are SPs imo.

When people are referring to the SSP Acuna, they're referring to the 2018 Update White Jersey cards. I forgot the exact population but I think there are about 500 of each of the two variations.

Thank you for clarifying, I kinda thought the SSSP was a bit gimmicky.

Default Big League Breakthrough

Definitely not a popular opinion at all but my favorite Acuna Jr RC I own is the Bowman Big League Breakthrough redemption /145 only because I pulled it myself....and will def be a cool piece if BBLB doesn't ever make a comeback

Sucks they couldn't make that a chrome card at least
