Default Best Acuna Rookie?

Baseball is super confusing to me so sorry about the stupid question

Talking base. No autographs or parallels

Is the “bat down” or whatever the best one? I know it’s in the $2,000 range doe PSA 10’s

Is there another out there I’m not aware of?

Thanks

The bat down is and will be his top rookie card to have if not counting parallels. Some people wont consider it a true rookie because its an SP variation but they ar ein the minority. Its the card to own. If that one is out of someones price range then the Topps update is #2

Bat Down is THE rookie, followed by US250 Bat UP, then Heritage Action

according to Upper Deck: "Parallel – A card that is a serial numbered version of another non-serial numbered card. For instance, a base card would be unnumbered, but a parallel of that base card would have a serial number. Parallels typically have the same design and photo, but offer different color schemes."

Are you talking about a base card that was printed in equal amounts to other base cards in the same set? If so, then the bat down (nor the Heritage Action) would not qualify since it was a short printed card. Would be curious though, to hear what others think if this discussion is limited to those Acuna base rookies that were printed in equal amounts to other base cards in the same set.

if following my previous post, for 2018 cards, I would agree with the above...though some will put the US250 ahead of the factory/complete set 698. If not limited to 2018 RCs, I would put the 2017 Bowman Chrome Mega at the top of the list, then 2017 Bowman Chrome in a close second with factory/complete set 698.

Bat Down is your answer.

US250 is his third Topps Flagship card

Can't remember at the moment...was that 2018 base Sapphire made in equal amounts to all the other base cards in that product?

Pack pulled card

To clarify

I don’t care if it’s SP

What is the best “base” rookie you could pull from a pack that isn’t a parallel?

Kind of pushing it to consider Sapphire with only a couple hundred cards made and online only release to be a base card. ITs amazing no doubt and crazy valuable at $7-10K but not widely available. Id put it up there as one of the top 3 Acuna rookie cards, but top base card, I just dont think it qualifies. Opinions differ though just like some people dont consider the Bat Down a base card as its a SP and was inserted as a variation.

Is it packed pulled? Does it have parallels? He asked for the best! Not the one you can find on any street corner.

By the truest form, Sapphire wasn’t a pack. The format was the same as Topps Tek though.

Bat Down isn’t part of the true base set. It’s a variation.

I have a US250

Is that the consensus for “base” if we are talking pack pulled?

Yes. That would be his “best” base RC that doesn’t have a third line on the PSA flip and came from a box that has packs in it.
