only the great teams should be able to sign FAs, this way no one will be able to bitch and cry about players going to different teams

7 pages of salty fans of teams JJ didn't sign with?
Did they overpay? Maybe. Did other teams offer more? Yes. Would most people here be happy with this contract if it was their team? Yes. End of thread |

@Gambo987 The deal JJ Watt signed with the Cardinals was NOT the most he was offered. The Cleveland Browns and Indianapolis Colts each offered more money. Tennessee's offer was very similar. Then in response: @CharlesRobinson Unless the #Colts, #Browns and #Titans are straight up lying, this is not what I’ve been told. I’ve been told by multiple Watt suitors that the $23 million guaranteed in Watt’s Arizona deal was near ceiling for their total $. Teams were trying to get Watt for roughly $12 mil per. |

Offered more is so relative
If the Browns offered 100 over 10 is that more? If the Browns offered 50 over 2 with 10 guaranteed is that more? We won’t ever know Guaranteed is all that matters in the NFL and I’d bet a lot of $$ the Cardinals offered the most Even if not most overall or per year

He's getting a fair contract based on his potential that the cardinals aren't stuck in long term. I'd rather that then give around the same yearly money to reddick over 7 years and realize we're screwed year 2 If he's injured, oh well. It's two years. If he isn't injured, RW will probably force the trade by the end of the year.

As a Texans fan, I have to say this is more about money and somewhat that the Cardinals never won a championship. I'm quite confident that other teams didn't offer the amount Cardinals offered. The attraction is probaly Phoenix and not playing in AFC facing the Texans. I wish him the best, too bad he probaly will be a Diamondbacks and a Coyote fan.

Who gives a sh*t? He is officially much richer than 99.9999999% of BO members and would, MUCH more than likely, be able to beat your a$$ if you were brave enough to say something to his face (which you most definitely would not Keyboard Warrior).
Enough. My white horse awaits!!!

There’s a lot of salty bitter sentiment in here for AZ.
Here is the latest quote from the owner Bidwell “I think there is going to be a seismic shift in talent across the NFL,” he said on SiriusXM NFL Radio. “You’ve got teams that are projected to be well over the cap. You’ve got teams to be projected well under. I know every free agent or potential free agent out there is thinking they’re not going to get released, but there are going to be a bunch of surprises for people here in a few weeks when everybody has to get under the cap and free agency starts. “My guess is I see a big shift, a seismic shift in terms of the talent moving around.” You don’t make that statement without anticipating another BIG signing from Arizona. Many more tears will be shed. LET IT BEGIN! |
