Just picked up 11-12 megas.

Sitting on 30 hangers from the initial restock (but all paid for because I sold 30 for $110 per at the peak).

I’m very bullish on Mosaic at current prices, just have a lot of money in other stuff (recently Pokemon) so couldn’t add too many.

But megas in the $100-$140 range are an absolute steal.

I'm currently sitting on 20 Hangers. I don't have much space at home, so have to really be careful what I "hoard" but these have to be pretty good bets for holding onto right?

Grabbed 17 megas and 37 hangers at retail this time around. Really wish I would've held some blasters and cellos from the first round but I couldn't stop ripping those.

No megas restocked anywhere that I saw this week, and hangers were as few as 5 at some stores up to 18 at others. it’s coming to a close.

Really regret dumping blasters at 60 during the original stock. Opened a ton at retail though and hit a few big cards.

Its tough not to rip lol. I box my stuff up and put it away so i’m not tempted.

I know there is always the chase of the big card (cardboard cocaine) but even at $60 i believe blasters are a long term loser for ripping which is how I convince myself not to rip them. Then when you think they are above $100 and climbing there’s no way you don’t lose money busting them unless you pull a huge auto/genesis. I’m happy to hold sealed and watch prices go up.

walked into a local WM on Tues ... apparently the supplier was just there ... some guy was standing there with a shopping cart full of product ... probably 10 Mosaic megas & 10 or so blasters plus a huge amount of BC baseball ... anyway there was some still on the shelf so I walked over & grabbed 5 megas ... I had some other items to pick up so I figured the guy would throw the rest of the Mosaic in his buggy ... to my surprise when I walked back by the card section he had left 44 hangers so I scooped em up ... sold 40 of the hangers & 3 of the megas for $1,900.00 ... probably could’ve made a bit more but took in a quick $750.00 profit

this is what makes me confident in long term prices. flippers taking their “quick profit”... once this settles prices are back on the rise. Nice $750 tuesday!

I imagine I left a lot of dollars on the table BUT with the way I did it I only had to make one shipment ... not 10 or 12 or 15 ... don’t have to worry about non payment or somebody saying the shipment was damaged & best of all not paying damn near 20% in ebay fees ...

also I’ve got some $ tied up in a few Xbox Series S so I need to pay that off with my quick profit

Blasters were about 110 prior to the restocks starting, dipped to about 80, but now are back over 100. From a format perspective a blaster is no better than a hanger or a mega. the difference is blasters aren’t owned by flippers right now since they didn’t restock. what that tells me is once the hangers and megas move from flippers to collectors over the next few weeks there is a high chance hangers go back to $80+ and megas go back over 200. As you mentioned the 2020 class is trash compared to 2019, and also even Luka 2nd year. I don’t know what the basketball release schedule is like for 2020, but i know prizm isn’t until march so people will keep ripping 2019 product.

Yeah I gave some pretty conservative numbers - I know megas were $300 at one point.

The point I missed was what you referenced - blasters are holding strong, and aren't any better than hangers. It's just a supply issue, so once the quick flippers selling runs its course, hangers and megas will move up.

If I didn't have so much tied up in other products/cards, I would've bought even more.

And to reiterate the situation with the upcoming season. Starting December 22nd is huge, as is Panini pushing all 20-21 products back significantly. Hoops doesn't release until mid-late January if I recall. That is a full month of the NBA season without any product for this year. And then the 19 class being far superior - there are so many reasons to be really bullish on Mosaic hangers at $40 and megas around $125.

Smart way to do it if the goal is to do it as easily as possible. A lot less effort than piecing it out a few boxes at a time.

The only thing I really flip is pokémon, and i’m willing to take a little less money to get it all moved quickly.

Megas are already hitting as high as $165 per on eBay. Probably should've secured more at the $125 (and under) price-point.

Yup. I got in right at the very bottom a few days ago. Now sitting on 25, from 0 a week ago. I did the same thing with Optic.

there were over 1000 listings for Megas 10 days ago, right now there are 551. dwindling supply means pricing will go back up shortly. honestly not sure what drives the demand, is it breaks / FB razz? chronicles has barely moved from a couple months ago with no reload

yeah I guess I was speaking more to the volume being moved rather than the price, but I suppose it's probably just people grabbing to stash, not necessarily to break.

Ahhh...gotcha. yeah it’s product moving from flippers to investors hands. flippers making a quick buck, investors holding until prices go back to 250 a mega and 90 and a hanger.

Wish I could hit just one more restock of Mosaic somewhere. My goal is 50 megas and 50 hangers. I'm only 6 megas, and 3 hangers away. I'll probably have to hit eBay for the rest even though I hate to pay aftermarket.

Interesting finds today at a meijer... chronicles blasters and packs and illusions blasters and packs... quantity limit and all behind glass now... haven’t seen those for months and interested if a restock happening or did this one store hold on to inventory for some reason?
