It has tremendous bearing on the lives (and deaths) of the .26% who were not "fine", but since you don't know them, they don't matter.

Gross.

Having to be admitted to a hospital for a virus is not shrugging anything off.

Every single year in this great country of ours, more people die than the previous year. So many advances in health, medicine, people living longer than ever... and yet the numbers just pile up. I don't dispute the pain and grief these families feel as a result of their loved ones passing away but I also recognize what that number means when put into perspective.

80 million Americans infected, 200,000 have passed and of this group, the vast majority were very old and very sick. To be scared of something like this, as a healthy person, is simply illogical and irrational.

I'm confused. Are you arguing something else now? Forget the whole bit about being airlifted and world class care and drugs, the takeaway is that this virus knocked him on his ass and that is what we should all be afraid of?

Not "scared of", but rather "careful of" which we should be, something Trump himself clearly was not, another total failure to add to his endless list of them.

Unless you stay inside, in a bubble, inside of another bubble, you can't be too careful. The numbers show that.

The beauty of using a figure like "80 million American infected" is that's it's easily negated by the tangible figures of 7.5 million Americans having tested positive.

Sure, the actual number is in between those figures, but enough of the "399 out of 400 will survive"...it's completely disingenuous.

You know that.

I've been careful this whole time, haven't lived in a bubble, and haven't missed any work. I hadn't caught it as of 6 weeks ago when I last gave blood, which I know because I got a negative antibodies test with that. I'll get another of those tests shortly with my next donation.

If I could avoid it thus far, the President of the United States certainly should have been able to as well, but regardless, he could've easily been leading by example this whole time, and who knows, maybe if he had, he wouldn't be going through this ordeal right now.

Same can be said with using 200,000 as the number of deaths when we all know what a cluster the reporting has been.

Everyone will die, I guess the 3 million Americans that will die this year, is all Trump's fault?

Do you work in an office or at home?

When used alone, masks can give you a false feeling of protection and can even be a source of infection when not used correctly.”

Edit - removed the second quote because it was a bit confusing.

Oh look, Trump "beat" coronavirus (likely because he never had it) and gave his image a huge boost right before the election...it's not like anyone predicted this last week or anything, lol.
