That's not the case here either. This equates to a 15-20% ROI. Still not a terrible return but just sayin'....

I actually just got a shipping confirmation from Topps for my order. That has to be the fastest I ever got one after ordering.

Default I feel conflicted

...about the raffle aspect this time around. I'm certain the policy change leads to the potential for further delays (heck, I bet if you did some sentiment analysis between the BB thread and this thread a few months from now, you'll see almost the same patterns of discussion taking place).

An 8500 box, 8500-order ($2.2M in BB sales!) business day is nothing to sneeze at, and I anticipate these having a similar (higher? lower?) print run. There may be less takers at that price, too. But is the increase in price necessarily enough to justify the bottlenecks? Does my $300 spend better locally or on a more available box at my hobby shop/eBay/Blowout? I can't say for sure...

I have marginally better hope this time around that I'll see my box before Halloween.

There were an estimated 32,000+ boxes last year. I expect there to be more this year.

Wow. Thanks for sharing!

If it simply matches last year's PR--that's a cool $9.6M in sales for a single product.

Also, the original quote about that price was about the ROI after a year of holding (not a week).

I can't see a higher print run with the limited boxes being allotted unless a ton is going to partners/vendors as yrocks noted. Just wonder what Topps benefits by giving partners/vendors such a big share and great deal with the Topps exclusives. Maybe someone can enlighten me.

Does this mean my 20x Bichette base cards are going to cost me a little more than I expected?

Sold out? Did the bots exploit the link and buy with non-MC accounts? Man you'd think at some point Topps would figure this whole thing out.

Either that or they allocated fewer boxes to MC members than every membership maxes out would have allowed.

I don't think so...think it was a smaller allotment for MC purchases. Not every MC holder were guaranteed 2 boxes apparently as I passed on it. I think a ton of this stuff is going direct to distributors. As someone said, looks like this has become a "retail/hobby" product instead of membership.

Sold out - if anything, Topps priced it too low.
