It all comes down to whether or not one believes the loss of freedoms for a short period of time has been worth it or not.

I would have to say that i believe part of the problem is that too many dont know what the trigger is for getting things back to normal. That seems to keep changing

I thought exploding was an odd word to use but I looked it up and trees actually do explode in wildfires. The Eucalyptus trees out there are particularly prone to exploding. Thanks President Trump, I learned something new today!

That is very true.

It's like when baseball started back up. A couple of positive tests, and you have teams not playing for two weeks and threats to shut down the season.

There needs to be a threshold set forth for reopening. There needs to be a determination for an acceptable percentage of positives among the general public.

I would prefer it be a number that all states agreed upon, so they could then enforce it on a state-by-state basis.

Understand my perspective on this. It wasn’t a selfish comment. I’m a white male. I’m a physician. My job has been unaffected. I see the same volume of patients now compared to pre-Covid. I make a terrific salary with even better benefits. I live in an affluent neighborhood with property values that have boomed during the pandemic. I am doing awesome, and will continue to do awesome regardless of how long this continues.

That is the norm for people of similar socioeconomic status. Our net wealth has gone up. We have kept our jobs. The other end has seen their debt burden rise. They’ve lost jobs. The longer this goes on, the further the wealth gap widens, the worse off the country is. Is that what people really want?
