This is a perfect example of greed and/or over evaluation of a card that backfired greatly. The sale might be legit. Money was lost. BO reputation was lost and there is no coming back from how low the seller stooped.

This is not about the op:

He lost money and more importantly bidders from being a lying tool bag and not listening to the board full of collectors, some who are experts in card value estimates . The tool bag asked how much do we think it’s worth (with no real intention of listening) he was told anywhere between 1-4 grand and a few factors could change that in either direction. This enraged the banana as he felt it’s worth way more ! Because he knew better! Not the guys selling thousands of dollars in cards.

He was offered a legit offer of 6,000 and decided to lie and say he already had two higher offers. Basically shilling with fake offers. And now look at who was right after all? All the “ haters” and the people who didn’t know any better..

At least the shady liar pumping this meh card is gone as he won’t show his face after taking a 2 grand hit (if he does it will be suicide by mod I'm sure) proving blowout was right once again.

This is why I haven’t bought many Trout 1/1’s lately. I would have paid $1500 for the letter direct on here, but when it’s for sale for $10k it’s not even worth anybody’s time to make an offer. Also, I didn’t bid on the card of what I would have paid because of this statement about the price above.

I’m not saying anything negative, I will pay more than fair market value for Trout 1/1’s I like, but when prices are started off at the moon I lose interest in ever dealing with those people and their cards.
