What's the hierarchy for '18 revolution? I've never got in to them and they look to have a ton of parallels that look similar.

It's tough, they're both unreal cards. The Galactic to me is just in a category of it's own and to many resembles the super rare inserts of the 90's- It's a card that ultimately wont pop up frequently at all. It's weird...once you become educated about Galactics, it becomes apparent why they are so coveted. I'm not saying the courtside silver isn't a coveted/rare card...It just isnt in that same " near untouchable parallel" in my opinion, but it is without a doubt the best silver rc to own hands down.

Those guys definitely deserve a lot of credit. They get overshadowed by the eye popping stat line of Luka's performance. But they couldn't have won without them. I think one of the most amazing things i heard during the broadcast was that Dallas had 3 players on the court who weren't even drafted.

I'll go back to Luka for a second and a story i heard about Calisle. Earlier on when the bubble first started he took Luka aside and told him "this is your team". And Luka said don't worry coach i've got it. Carlisle said he was impressed how Luka would plan bowling and fishing trips to keep his teammates all together. And how he was doing it as a 21 year old kid. They live and die by his toughness.

The heart and strength it took to even play in this game injured shows how tough he is. He makes them believe they can win. No one gave Dallas a chance at beating the Clippers. Not many people thought they would win a game let alone win 2 games except Luka. He is inserting his will on them and lifting his teammates up to the same level making them believe. After the game Doc Rivers said his team looked mentally weak. I think that's true but i also think it was because Luka imposed his will on them. He rattled them and is definitely in their heads now. I'm excited but realistic to see how the rest of the series plays out.

In my opinion if your looking to hold short term go with Galactic. Long term I believe the Courtside Silver will outperform Galactic. I wish I bought one when I could.

Interesting. What's your thesis on a short term vs long term holding period for each? Curious to hear the reasoning, I actually have the opposite view. I think Galactic tends to be a card that true hobby (not flippers) collectors chase. I know that doesnt always correlate to prices, but it dries up supply. Neither have a high print run, but I view the galactic as a rare piece of art that we will hardly see up for sale at a certain point.

Yeah the bubbling is very common and psa determined it does not effect the surface grade at all - in fact finding one that doesn’t have those bubbles is very hard and IMO should hold a premium but it doesn’t seem to because people buy the grade not the card - if that’s the only defect send that baby in!

For reference here is my silver 10 you can see the bubbling in between the RC logo and the ball

Things are getting crazy. I told the owner of the LCS that prior to Sunday those of us who collect and pay attention knew a lot about Luka. After Sunday, he became nationally known on the biggest stage. People got to see ALL of him and immediately wanted in on his legend. THE SHOT will be replayed for a very long time. Those moment are forever and people will make the Mavs must see TV. The water was simmering, but the boil began on Sunday. Not a full boil, but the water is hot.

Kinda weird when theres another sitting at 6K BIN. Didnt do a condition spot check to compare though... This is a massive card long term thought, been saying it for a while. Very SP and it's on card and a damn nice photo. Optic has potential to be the best rookie on card auto and the silver/golds are where you want to be as well as the blue /49.
