I didn't hang on Obama's every word, I didn't hang on Bush's or Clinton's every word. They all said some really dumb crap. Not to the extent of Trump. I more concerned about how they try to shape policy and the dumb things they were actually doing.

More than 1,000 health professionals (primarily made up of disease "experts") told me that protesting is not only OK but necessary in the face of a pandemic. They also told me that running a business can be deadly and should be avoided at all costs to slow the spread.

You go ahead and place your trust where you believe it is best suited. Mine will stay right here.

It seems unfair to attribute this to only liberals.

As an example it's been repeated over and over that the "there's good people on both sides" comment was misquoted over and over by the media and yet just earlier today someone else brought it up for the umpteenth time.
If people haven’t figured out by now that Trump is both hyperbolic and sarcastic, and that along with that the media misquotes and takes so many things he says out of context, then I don’t know what to tell you.

Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
He doesn't get misquoted or taken out of context nearly as much as he would have you believe.

“We have it totally under control. It’s one person coming in from China, and we have it under control. It’s going to be just fine.”

“Within a couple of days,” Trump announced, “[infections are] going to be down to close to zero. One day, it’s like a miracle. It will disappear.”

"One of my people came up to me and said, ‘Mr. President, they tried to beat you on Russia, Russia, Russia.’ That didn’t work out too well. They couldn’t do it. They tried the impeachment hoax. That was on a perfect conversation. They tried anything, they tried it over and over. … And this is their new hoax.”

“Easter is a very special day for me. And I see it sort of in that timeline that I’m thinking about. And I say, wouldn’t it be great to have all of the churches full?”

“I’m going to put it very simply: The president of the United States has the authority to do what the president has the authority to do, which is very powerful. The president of the United States calls the shots.”

“LIBERATE MICHIGAN!”

“I’ve said if Ivanka weren’t my daughter, perhaps I’d be dating her.”

But please, tell me more about how he's taken out of context.

The fact that you assume I'm attributing this only to liberals kind of proves the point.

Basement Joe, or Taxidermy Joe? Can't decide....

@TheFrenzy- fear not, your Twitter buds will still vote Dem. It's just a contest to see whom among them is doing so under the greatest duress.

I would argue what he says is what he does.

He's not playing 4D chess. What he thinks he says, and what he says he believes, and what he believes he does.

He said he thought the virus was a hoax because he genuinely believed that, and now many of his followers still believe that (my wife works at the local Health Department, and literally just spoke to a man in a MAGA hat who refused to wear a mask because "he wasn't a sheep.")

Two quick points.

(1) Your correlation of what he says, he does, is not accurate. We both can show each other 10,000 things Trump has said, but not implemented. As you said, he thinks out loud.
(2) Masks do nothing. Pass it on.

(2): That is simply incorrect information. Please don’t pass it on.

(1) Thankfully, he's still got people around him that keep him from implementing some of his dumber statements.

(2) I'll be sure to tell our Health Director (an actual medical doctor) that some guy on the internet said that masks don't work.

You and I disagree, but there are plenty of countries that now realize masks hold no value other than psychological; and are now reversing / not implementing mask policies countrywide. The US will eventually follow.

The virus will spread no matter where you are, whether you are locked down or not. It is inevitable and masks do nothing. They may help people feel safer; but possess no ability to protect any individual from contracting the virus for a variety of reasons.

Again, the same people that said go gather in the tens of thousands because racial inequality is it's own "pandemic".

No thank you. Their "expertise" holds no value.

He did not say the virus was a hoax, he said the political part is. He is correct.

That is literally the opposite of how this virus works. If the whole world were to lock down for 14 days (not possible, but this is a hypothetical) from the point of last infection, this virus would completely die out.

It we go to a protest against wearing masks, the virus can't spread because we are at a protest, so we can safely protest without masks, right?

You find me ONE expert on COVID, ONE, I'll wait. I'll have to wait a while, however.

Where it should be as in common sense. Science and the numbers tell us unless you're in poor health and/or elderly there isn't much to worry about, minus possibly spreading it to people who are in poor health and/or elderly. How about we quarantine/travel ban cities. Those are where most of the problems are coming from.

The not so amusing thing is my governor, Cuomo, doesn't even follow his own rules but he wants all us peasants to follow them. A family friend, a great man and son, lost his mother last week and couldn't even hold her. She was in a nursing home. He was given a 20 minute phone conversation with her when she wasn't even strong enough to hold the phone to her ear. There is something extremely wrong with that picture.

How a good portion of the population ate the fear up is whats more worrisome than anything else to me. We were so easy to control whether its trying to get people to hate each other or to control with fear.
