No doubt about it. They live and die(mostly die) with every keystroke he makes.

Actually - I follow the criminal indictments of his inner circle more than what he screams about on twitter.......

So does this mean that we can agree to cancel cancel culture now that it's something Trump does?

I'm down with that.

Cancel culture is a plague on the USA and yes, needs to go.
We can choose to support who/what we want with our dollars. If we do not like the way a company does things - we don't destroy them - we move our spending power where, we as individuals, feel comfortable.

Newsflash, this one doesn't.
Hell I didn't even know Trump said or tweeted anything about this, and yet I still somehow, someway, knew about it.

It's not the President's responsibility to message to the populace "Make America Great Again" hats. "Don't buy GOODYEAR TIRES -- They announced a BAN ON MAGA HATS. Get better tires for far less!".

Why should we be the ones to know when he's being hyperbolic, facetious, or just joking?

Why can't he just stop saying dumb sh!t?

That sounds like a pretty good reason to pay less attention to everything he says..

It's frustrating that the party that ran Obama's quotes "You didn't build that" and "If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor" into the ground are now constantly telling people that the President didn't mean what he said on a daily basis.

Cancel culture is not that. Cancel culture is putting a video online and trying to shame an individual; calling their boss to get them fired; trying to get someone kicked out of school, calling advertisers to have them drop you etc. etc; usually for the sin of not thinking the way you do.

I mean for God's sake, people leave 1 star reviews all the time telling others to "stay away from this company because of XYZ". That is NOT cancel culture; it's trying to show that the company is doing something you don't like in the hopes they read your review and improve their service/product.
That's great. There are plenty of people who disagree with your narrow definition.

The dictionary even disagrees with your definition (they explicitly mention boycotts): https://www.merriam-webster.com/word...-were-watching

They do, and the margin is significant. I have (had) a buddy who, in a group chat, would be posting stuff about Trump first thing in the AM, throughout the day, in the evening... no one else ever really cared. Maybe one in ten comments or links would get a response. At the time, I was entirely apathetic toward politics and found it to be more obnoxious than anything. I would always recommend that he seek help and that the president shouldn't occupy this much of your time and this much space in your head, regardless of who that president is.

I believe that's why much of the "orange man bad" type comments, articles, and videos in this thread aren't addressed by people who voted for Trump in 2016 and/or will be voting for Trump in 2020. To me it all just seems like noise. But I'm also not the type to spend my time trying to bury Biden either.

It matters even more when he's misquoted or taken out of context.
As an example it's been repeated over and over that the "there's good people on both sides" comment was misquoted over and over by the media and yet just earlier today someone else brought it up for the umpteenth time.
If people haven’t figured out by now that Trump is both hyperbolic and sarcastic, and that along with that the media misquotes and takes so many things he says out of context, then I don’t know what to tell you.

I get that there are legitimate exceptions. If you use Facebook for advertising, that makes a lot of sense. But I do think people should be honest about why they use it and evaluate a cost/benefit analysis. The average person is doing himself/herself more harm than good by repeatedly checking the Facebook feed and seeking social media validation.

I'm not saying Trump shouldn't be criticized when he says something stupid. But people would also be a lot better off if they didn't seek out those same things.

No thanks, don't take orders from anyone with a wolf for an avatar.

You are a fool. Is that the answer you were looking for?
