Trump was pretty clear his stance on China.....
And clearly those swing states supported that stance

For someone who understands everything, why do I need to explain the obvious?

You're right, of course, but there was an odd coincidence in that Kamala, the wrestler who passed away, also had the last name of Harris, so in that way, it was a Kamala Harris who died, which may have added to the confusion.

I only see Trump winning if it turns out that millions of Trump supporters have been intentionally lying to pollsters and skewing the data.

If millions of Americans have been intentionally lying to pollsters, then the cultural divides are even deeper than we’ve realized and we’re in for a wild ride.

My only question is can someone who is obviously an orange have a TV station named "TAN"?

Everything else seems very probable

Trumps stance on China determined the election. Cute take.

I think it’s a big one if you’re talking about “swing states” look at how many of those state were supposed to be helped both in agriculture and manufacturing by tariffs. I think his attacks on the media and the establishment was another big reason. I’m curious whats your reasoning.

It’s a variation of the Bradley effect. Lots of people were too embarrassed to admit they were voting for Trump in 2016. The numbers are much greater now. I don’t know if there are people too embarrassed to admit they are voting for Biden, but there should be lots in that camp as well.

You've said this before, but it's not wrong.

There is a chunk of hidden Trump votes because people are embarrassed or afraid of the backlash for admitting it.

In my mind, there were three types of Trump voters.

Republicans - there is always 30% or so people who just vote party no matter what.
Chaos - I heard a lot of I voted Trump to see if an outsider can shake up DC.
Racists - Back lash from having a black president, Trump gives them a voice.

Remember, Trump won the electoral college by a 200,000 votes spread in 4 states. Bernie voters did not come out for Clinton as she expected.

Democrats aren't going to get any of the first group obviously. Racists aren't going to jump on board either especially with the VP pick. I want to assume that group is small. Probably larger in red south states where Republicans are going to get the state anyway.

That leaves group chaos. Did Trump meet the expectations to vote for him again? Did he grow this group? Dems will get a small boost due to no Clinton hate. Biden feels pretty, meh, and neutral.

So in 2020 you think Trumps stance on China and his attacks on the MSM are going to determine the election?
Just clarifying because we were discussing the 2020 election.

Depends. Have you spoken to someone who hates trump yet? I can assure you if you have, they at least have one thing in common with Kamala. Maybe two if they are still segregated while taking the bus

I think this election will determine if people believed an outsider can drain the swamp. Clearly dems feel he was toxic so it will come down to if moderate republicans feel that Joe is any better than what’s already currently there. I think many people felt an outsider would’ve been good in 2016 but in 2020 are questioning if that was such a great idea.

This seems like an incredibly roundabout way of us being on the same page, which is why I still question the intent of your original reply.

But how does this have to do with the electoral college determining an election?

Is this question related to today or the previous discussion?

Either way, the answer being that there are ~5-10 States whose electoral votes will sway the election. The majority of the country had an essentially predetermined voting outcome before Biden was even the Dem candidate.
