I did this with Finest Flashbacks... opened my 2 boxes, kept my Trout, sold everything else

I mean I bought a lot of chrome and hit a base Robert rookie auto and immediately put everything else up for sale and sold a lot of the singles I pulled before that. I didn't buy the Chrome for the sake of getting this superfractor Robert though. a lot of people are saying the demand is going to substantially go down because this card is pulled which doesn't make any sense to me. But either does playing the lottery..

I don’t think the generic hangers have really gotten out there yet. My LCS has a bunch on order and won’t get them until Tuesday.

Last time I checked about msrp. I ripped as much as I wanted, then started passing it up. Same with mega. I probably have ~10 blasters of each I’m sitting on.

I like chrome way better than either version of bowman, I’d be willing to sink a couple hundred more into it for ripping, depending on how the Chronicles search goes next week. I already pulled the Lou Bob auto redemption, probably just downhill at this point. I have no idea on print runs, but if you’re patient you may end up finding chrome at msrp if you haven’t already.

A little worried about LouBob Auto population. I pulled one and two other guys in relatively small Facebook groups did as well. I redeemed immediately - how long do you expect to fulfill? I've never sent in a redemption..

I wouldnt worry too much. Watched more than a few cases of this ripped and zero Robert redemptions.

Only LouBob knows when it will be fulfilled. It's on him to sign the cards. May even be a chance he has already but just missed the pack out process for Chrome.

Seems he's signing a lot so it probably wont be too long.

Yeah I was curious because it seems like all his number autos were packed. I wonder if only retail is redemption because he didn't fulfill the whole thing or like you said maybe they just didn't get them in time. Would love to get it graded and gauge the market as we approach next season. I'll probably end up hanging on to it for a long time if he's as good as I think he is..

No, just his base auto - which is available in both retail and hobby is a redemption. Unlike bowman, retail doesn't have an exclusive parallel or auto subset.

Will be interesting to see where price settles. One sold the other day for $700, prices always tend to be highest in the beginning. I believe acuna base rookie year auto is in the $500 range and Tatis is $350 so that’s probably a good comparison.

Robert has to cut down on his strikeouts, 22K's in 59 AB's is a lot, even in today's low standards for hitters. Facing Bieber today probably ain't gonna help things..

That's exactly what I was looking at as well. My buddy was killing me for not selling the redemption card Friday. It's not like I absolutely need the money and I pulled it from a $15 box. I want to enjoy it and watch it potentially grow especially if it grades a 10. Tatis Jr PSA 10 is $500.

Same here. $700 is pretty much the highest it’s ever gonna be, but I don’t need the money and I’d rather hold it on the 1/20 chance he becomes a hall of famer. I don’t really sell much, I just long term hold.

Keep us posted on what you hear about the redemption, I haven’t claimed mine yet. Hopefully they are already signed.

Well, I folded and bought a Target hanger and a Update hanger on ebay. With how cards are around her not sure I'll ever see any on the shelf, and honestly wasn't terrible price wise.

Buddy of mine got a pack of Jumbo hobby for me from his LCS. Came home, opened the pack, and found this beauty. Even as a Giants fan I gotta admit blue wave looks beautiful with a Dodgers player

Nice centering on the 85 too. Half the ones I’ve pulled are off center L/R. Maybe I’m just mad my Luis Robert was the worst centered of them all.

sorry for dumb question but did topps release the hobby box with 5 autos ? Neber saw them on their site on 8/7 but card shops had them ? Did I miss it or were they delayed on their site ? Thanks

I was watching the website all day on Friday and I don't think any hobby was released. In the past, only the hobby boxes have been sold online but this year the Bowman Jumbos were sold so who knows. Not sure if there is going to be any hobby on Topps website, but it could still come out this week.

I have been opening my case slow since Friday but through 4 boxes I pulled a McGwire Auto Rookie Cup /30 and a Gold Wave Lux Auto /50. Also, 4 for 4 with Luis Robert base cards.

Awesome card, Nice hit!

Truthfully, I enjoy the wave cards more than the standard parallel colors. (ex: green vs green wave or blue vs blue wave, etc)
