I got the Ichiro and Mays at $14.50 each from Topps. Bought the Rivera ($120), Gibson ($70) and Jackie ($25) off eBay a while back. The set is gonna look totally awesome when put together.

Also, if anyone needs a Chang Gibson feel free to PM me. I've got an extra for sale.

I'm collecting Chang too, bought the Rivera for $40 from ebay all the rest from Topps. I don't have the Gibson yet as everything from the US to the UK is really slow, package has been in the Fedex Newark hub for over 2 weeks now.

1059coach has opened a return case against me for auction https://www.ebay.com/itm/133419704546 with explanation: "Doesn't match description or photos: I did not receive the card in the auction posted, the seller has multiple cards posted and I wanted the one in the auction I paid for"

There's just a photo of the corner of the card and spacing and everything indicates it's the card in the auction. There's no other explanation.

Nice! Your Gibson will arrive soon enough.

I jumped in about four weeks too late which is why I had to rely in the secondary market for the first three Changs. Now I can just cruise the rest of the way home.

Just a BS excuse to make it so you can't win an appeal with eBay. They all know what to say to force a return when the price goes down. eBay doesn't care about sellers so we have no recourse but to accept the return, block the buyers and blast them on blowout.

Just trying to bring some fun back to this thread. It gave me hours of entertainment over the past week and a half. I didn't get into this set until card 67. My first cards in hand were these Saladeen Jeters I bought for $44 each on Friday, May 22nd. Sure they were up to $300 at one point, and sure I was hoping they were heading for $500. But I could still cash out right now and double my money, that's hard to be too upset about. Thinking about it now it's not shocking these have crashed so hard with a print run of almost 10k. If people decide to panic sell that's A LOT of copies that can be dumped. As others have said I think the low PR cards will be more solid going forward...and I bought some of those too, some at the peak. Live and learn. This set is great and seems to be getting better every week. It's got me interested in cards for the first time since I was a kid. I've been buying the 2 packs since card 67 and was planning on taking a break after 100 (except for JK5's cards, glad to see he's finally getting some love around here) but if the print runs keep dropping back down to reasonable numbers I may hang in there a bit longer. I'm looking forward to today's designs!

Also thanks to everyone posting eBay buyers to block, keep it up. A couple years ago I sold a gold bar on eBay to a 0 feedback buyer. He filed a claim right after it was marked as shipped, saying it was unauthorized. That didn't work, so when he got it he claimed it was fake. Then he sent back an empty box...it was a complete nightmare. My strategy now when I sell on eBay is to set a BIN a bit above my "real" asking price and then accept offers. If you take offers most people will make offers (unless it's a total feeding frenzy like Memorial Day weekend) and that gives you a bit of control over who you're selling to. It's not foolproof but it's also not a total crapshoot that way.

I will do a long thread with explanations, back and forths, what worked/didn't work, etc in the appropriate forum section and link it here once most of the dust has settled for me (at this point I am doubtful it will ever fully be over). For now my interest is just putting these user names in this thread so people here can at least avoid these individuals. I have also appreciated and added everyone else's complaints to my blocked bidder list.
