Not a surprise, but got my first INAD return request today from user drax44. They are a long time ebayer (16 years) with 100% positive feedback of 4,026 and definitely know how to play the game:

Reason for return - Doesn't match description or photos

Comments - Item not as described. Card is not as glossy as shown in photos due to plastic case it is encased in. Card is also listed as a short print but is not numbered like a short print.

No way I'll win if I challenge but I'm going to wait as many days as I can to accept the return and issue the refund.

I'm frustrated because I honored every sale on the way up and now that prices have softened I'm forced to accept returns because the price has dropped and the buyer can lie and claim INAD. Still considering how or if this will cause me to adjust my sales strategy.

I’ve said from the beginning I’m buying the dip! Cards still selling above MSRP? This isn’t my dip.

I’m cheaper than TPB is. He’s not buying above MSRP, and I want it cheaper than that.

Y’all take the Lambos, I’ve got my Dyno with the black mags like all the rest of the cool kids.

Plenty to agree with.
Plenty to disagree with.

This one is worthy to reply about agreeing with.

Was it really Gary V’s fault for holding Blake out dry?

I dont think so, with what was going on in Minneapolis and surely with what is going on now, it's probably not a good idea to talk cards. I think Blake is too hard on himself.

this may sound glib or accusatory, but wouldn't it have been smart of Topps to create a secondary market budget for this project to artificially stimulate the investing arm of the hobby and then gradually back off of it when the market started to reach some form of stasis? how much do you think it would cost to pull something like that? $500k? then maybe you sell 100,000 copies of a $15 print on demand product and recoup that secondary market budget in 48 hours or so. that would be pretty wild. some people might even continue to buy direct in hopes of another surge. that sure would be a fiscally advantageous endeavor.

That’s a good idea, Topps would be smart to do that

Stimulate the market like what the federal reserve is doing

That is some crazy conspiracy.... it would be equivalent to being told to stay in your house, close everything down, print money for you to stay home, initiate tracking and tracing on where you go, then institute marshal law....

Too crazy to be true.

well, aside from one being overwhelmingly simple and the other being as complex and unpredictable as the global market with variables stacked so incomprehensibly high that the idea itself sounds entirely absurd.... totally.

additionally, *martial law

Card market isn’t very simple

Maybe not as complex as the global market, but still pretty complex
