Genuinely interested. Printed faux gold/silver would look weird, and I'd assume that much real foil would substantially add to Topps' production costs.

Makes sense. Foil would look pretty amazing though.

That's what I'm afraid of. If those are simply printed, they're going to look TERRIBLE. Like so bad I'll have to keep one just because of how funny it would be.

So we know Efdot’s Gwynn is one of the releases. What is the other release?

There is a bit of soften in prices but seeming to have stabilized. Early gibson still around 1k. Efdot mays hanging in there. Shore mcgwire just went for over 900 and siff brett looks to finish north of 1k. Correction probably over due. But for as many people dumping stuff today overall it held up pretty well. Wish the beck goodens held up a bit better but it is what it is. Ready for what tomorrow brings.

Topps needs to shut down all other production

The factory should be open 24/7 working at max capacity on these cards

I wish the SIFF Brett had dropped, I'd like to have one of those.

Can some explain the appeal of Siff to me? I'm not knocking his cards, just curious. His Ripken is interesting for sure, but I think I'm too ocd to collect his set.

Happy to have a Griffey for my PC that I can just enjoy as a card (when it ships in 6 months), like I did with the first two in the set, before things went crazy. It’s stressful having what I valued as $20 cards to collect and display with my Ms stuff skyrocket in price like they have. Obviously not because I hate money, but because now I have to think about whether ultimately keeping them passes a cost/benefit test. Anyway, thanks to all the flippers for running up the new one, so I can just enjoy it in peace!

I’m not collecting Siff at all but his Ripken is awesome in hand. The black background with the warm colors really make it pop.

The 1975 George Brett done by Gregory Siff is brilliant. He totally captured the contrast that made the 1975 set so endearing and amped it up to 11. The whole 'stream of consciousness' feeling evoked by that Brett card is another aspect of it that I appreciate. Chaos, contrast, and nostalgia are married perfectly in that Siff card. It's heads and shoulders my favorite card of the set so far.

Awesome responses! Are either of you chasing his set? I can see any of the cards as having stand alone appeal but does the lack of similarity between designs bother you? Again just my vantage point. I need to go to sleep
