Hi Eric! Just watched the time lapse Ted Williams video on YouTube and it is awesome! If you all haven't seen it yet, I highly recommend it (it's not a long video but ahows the changes made in design during the process). Cannot wait until I get mine

It's not that I don't have good vibes about it at all. Just looking at it from both sides. I find a few things about it to be unsustainable, especially anything more than very small margin selling of future cards and I think that showed up today. I'm torn on where Cards 1-86 go in the long run (not saying they don't hold value, just that I think it's reasonable to expect at least some dip from current prices), but in the short run I'm super bullish.

And for those who want to just collect the cards, I think most of them are f*cking awesome and will likely hold many of these for many years myself. The Project itself has sparked an interest for me in art that I didn't know was there. I absolutely love the work of at least 6 of the artists in the set and can see myself being a long term collectors of their work.

Let this be a lesson, gentlemen. Don't try to time market peaks and be sure to check your greed/emotions at the door.
As much as I want to unload my Ben Baller Ichiro, shipping a potential $5k item to a random stranger scares me .

Looks like there’s a mini run on Jeter Taylors. From down to about $150, now back up to $195.

The Thiele Jeter looks great. Already loved the look of the Thiele Trout. I think Thiele is my favorite of all these just on appearance.

There are Cook Groups reading this thread. For the last week you can watch ebay right after some advice on "good buys" in here and find that they are all gone.

I posted earlier that I thought $200 for the Thomas Don C was a good buy and could be $500 over the weekend due to large PR of the Ripken.

Checked eBay right after and there was a huge run on Don C Thomas and the multiple $190-200 BINs were gone all the way to $270.

Someone else mentioned JK5 Clemente and the talked about the Star Wars theme and boom Clemente JK5 went from a $130 BIN to $300 in 5 mins.

Well ..One mans trash ...

Edit: and if you would auto cards for your Patreon subscribers that would be awesome. I would be extremely grateful to have that Gwynn card signed. Thanks for posting on here.
I'd be scared to buy auto'd cards moving forward. These print runs are going to be crazy and the previous auto'd cards aren't doing super amazing compared to the untouched versions.

For the cook groups reading this. Buy Shore Griffey and get the price up. When Jeter comes out tomorrow with a 150k PR, 50k people will want a Shore Griffey. Easily double or triple your money overnight

For sure. I think this summer is going to be a wild ride for P2020 and can't predict how things will play out long term, but demand for new releases is definitely beyond my expectations. I thought buying some early cards was a good idea when I discovered this thread and saw a few 10k+ print runs.
Simple buying logic: A very unique set I can still play catch up on a couple artist/player sets by grabbing some rare early print cards.

The past few days are something I did not expect nor have I ever seen such a surge in demand/interest for a card set in such a short period of time.

I'm torn between the idea that it's too much too quickly and my personal feelings that it's a groundbreaking release and we're entering uncharted territory in the hobby. Either way, the set is amazing and I bought a Shore Griffey & Vides Ryan today with zero expectation of profiting. Likewise I'm looking into some artist works.

Once the are in hand and people see what all there is they will sell. If I cant trade mine for a saladeen Griffey, I'll just open mine for the cards and wear the fanny pack LIKE A BOSS

You don't say, people pretending to hate on the product to make some people on the fence nervous and liquidate lower than they would have.. then buy it up.

So like. Are Don C's cards actually metal/foil plated?

Genuinely interested. Printed faux gold/silver would look weird, and I'd assume that much real foil would substantially add to Topps' production costs.

I assumed they were just printed otherwise it would have said something like Vides
