Anyway, I was wrong on the facts as well....the 1983 minis from 2018 have 9 white copies......its the 1984 minis from 2019 that have 13 white copies.

Either way, it's scarce and cool....and about half the copies are off-center.
I believe these are his lowest print run base cards. All /10.

Well, except for the fact that they're autos, not base cards....

I collect Devers and all of the ‘18 Heritage Chrome Gold #/5 were cut off-centered (or at least the 3 which have come to market, so far)

BTW isn’t mini just a parallel of flagship? Same card, number, and everything...
Not sure....using lower quality printers, maybe? This year's 1985 Black inserts in Flagship have huge centering problems as well.

I don't consider the minis to be a parallel because they were released in a separate product (i.e. On-Demand, via Topps website only). Design-wise they are, but distribution-wise they are not.

Although not a bad choice at all, it has yet to break an actual sale at 5K or more. Sapphires have broken 5K well over a dozen times now and have even reached 8K this year. Sapphire will be the card people will wish they would have picked up today once it starts selling consistently for over 10K. Perhaps I am being biased since I own two but I could have had the opportunity to pick up the White Jersey, hands down card twice and each time I jumped on the Sapphire instead.

Someone 'trying' to sell one and one actually sold are also two different things incase that comparison comes up. Heck I see people trying to sell the Sapphire for over 10K often enough when also accepting best offers.

What I don’t like about the sapphire is that it was an online exclusive.

The ssp was released in the flagship product and is just a good value right now. Its beauty is in its simplicity. It’s got all the right features to be a monster card down the road.

that's what i thought it was. i was on Youtube and searched Acuna and his callup popped up, and everything about it, screamed Topps 698 Bat Down card. really cool little piece of history there, and to me, makes that card even more iconic.

the "Bat down" is right about the 30 second mark. very cool

agreed.

that's a tough one...only like 350 copies were made.

reminds me a lot like those Trout 2011 Update Walmart and Target versions, they are hard to find and expensive, however nothing beats the original version. idk if that makes sense or not.

This is completely a guess, but it would make some sense if there were 50 variations in retail to go along with the 200 in hobby, for a total of 250. While there are some Topps/Bowman parallels numbered to 200, 250 seems a little more likely. (250 is the also what some believe to be the print run for flagship SSP variations.)

Got some blasters in today, and the odds for base variations is 1:174.

yep - based on pack odds and total packed out, we should see a total print run of ~200 cards, with 91 packed into hobby, and 109 packed into retail.
