I mean it is what you agreed to do. That's the case with all transactions. If you're going to feel bad about something that shoots up, then don't presell it right now.

I guess for some a good rep on blowout cards and ebay is better than retirement.

Great choice! You will NOT be disappointed in the card. Great lines, colors, aesthetically pleasing.

The people who should be learning from this but won't is MLB. Here's a way to market your players and sport like never before to different demos.

My personal portfolio for Project 2020 is well into the 5 digits. I have absolutely no reason to neg on all of these transactions and destroy my rep on eBay and on here.

For me it’s more getting loyal customers, skyrocketing feedback score, and paying a $5 lottery ticket cost for me per 10 pack I order to get all those shots at the 1/1s.

I would never presell anything on ebay. Especially when some of these cards won't ship for months going forward. But, regardless I have never and wouldn't sell anything on ebay I didn't have in hand.

Absolutely!!!! I will ship out everything I sell. Like I said I knew going in that they would be worth more a month from now that at the time. Hence why I only sold 5. I kept 5 for myself. Congrats to those people that took a chance on me and I hope to make more people happy with future pre-sales.

Based on the strategy that pre-sellers SHOULD be using, they are foolish to only buy what was sold. If I did presells and sold 35, I'm buying at least 100. What I've seen are pre-sellers listing at $17.50, then the morning of the card closing on the Topps sight, adjust the price to $29.99 with Best Offer. That usually coincides with the artist and a "Only 12 hours left" posting on social media.

If you have been buying every card in bulk you already hit the lottery. You're choosing not to cash in the ticket.

Before cards were only going from $20 or less to $30-$50 in value. With them being $100 or more a piece the seller is going to lose countless thousands on a single card. For example the Ted Williams Ermsy. These are going to be north of $300 when in hand.

This is a false argument. Ford doesnt build mustangs and say man we should just put them in a building for 50 years then sell them. Most dealers need to show cash flow. Its good for business credit lines and the likes. If they hold on its more akin to investing or gambling. They are more of a scalper/middle man and run their ebay stores as such.

It’s wild man. Guy bought one from me yesterday morning for $45. Kudos to him he’s gonna make a bit of money. I’ll definitely give it some time before I post another.

This is something that has never and possibly will never happen again in sports cards. Certainly over such a short period of time. We aren't talking about buying a car or paying off student loans. We are talking about buying houses. We are talking about retirement. Anyone that bought a 10 pack of the first 80 cards that doesn't live in a super rich area or need health insurance can consider retirement because of Topps Project.

I bought a few ermsy Williams pre sale from someone who has zero negative feedback and over 1000 sales is it worth for them basically throw away their reputation cause they lost a few bucks? I hope not I hope he ships my cards when he gets them.

Anyone selling a Rochester Griffey or Fucci Koufax? Most of the listings on eBay seem sketchy.

Topps could have had several parallel frames for this like the Museum Collection autos with silver, gold, black and wood. Even if there were 100 AP silver framed cards they would sell out instantly. Maybe next year.

That's a bad look my man.

The pre-sellers get the money sometimes months in advance. Which they use to buy other cards. When the market goes up you just expect them to say "screw em" to their customers. That only works once then they're done.

That post says a lot about the type of person you are.
