No, it does not "anger" me. I was in for two cases last year. I had a 20% chance of hitting one wood mini. And there is a very good chance that if I even hit a wood mini, that wood mini would have been someone like Michael Fulmer. So, no, I am not angry.

And the whole "I didn't have a shot to pull a 1/1" tantrum is dumb too. He had every opportunity to pull a 1/1 (except a wood mini). I pulled a Theo Epstein plate last year.

That's what a lot of folks are starting to think. And THAT has happened before as well with cases being loaded with 1/1's. Archives Signature rings a bell. That one year you either got 20 of the same scrub auto, or 20 1/1's.

I wrote to both the CEO of Topps and their Consumer Relations department regarding the missing wood minis. I sent the letters with a color copy of my complete 750+ collection of A&G wood minis so they knew I was serious about the fact that they were my favorite cards to collect.

I didn't expect a response, and I wasn't disappointed as I didn't get a response.

So I am going to focus my collection only on 2006-2017 A&G wood minis.

I've gone from being really upset to now thinking they have done me a favor.

The problem is...if Topps' story is true. If the packer literally lost the wood minis and told Topps they were packed out...what could Topps do? They could file a lawsuit, change packers, etc. but that doesn't solve the problem. I do think re-printing the minis and inserting them into this year's product would be a reasonable solution, but would that make folks happy? I don't know. It's one of those lose/lose situations and unfortunately this happens in manufacturing all the time. We'll see if they show up in this year's release.

I friggin positive Sean Reid Foley, Cedric Mullins, Carson Kelly, Ryan O'Hearn and Chris Shaw are in Ginter because those are the only autographs I've gotten from any 2019 Topps stuff.....

Sorry for your luck. I've hit 6 Alonso, 3 Tatis, and 2 Jimenez, but am still shutout on Guerrero.

Why are people angry at me? I didn't take your money. I'm on your side. Wouldn't the correct content in the product benefit us all? Why are you all defending topps who shafted every single person in the room?

Maybe it does make you mad and you won't admit it, because at the end of the day ripping wax is an addiction and you can never stop and whatever topps throws down at you is what you will take. Am I right?

i guarantee you that if everyone who bought ginter last year made such a stink here, over the phone, via email and on social media that topps would fix this. The problem is that many of you just looked the other way and topps was good with that.

I applaud the few here that wanted to make the hobby better. The recklessness with thousands of dollars of cards falls on the card company that takes your money and that is topps.

People aren’t angry at you, they’re just tired of your constant complaints. If you ran a data check on all your posts, odds are a majority of your posts are negative. When you bash every little thing, people don’t take you seriously. So when a big problem happens like the wood mini debacle, people just don’t listen to you because they are tired of hearing it from you. If you weren’t so negative all the time, when you post something people might actually listen and agree with you.

Have to say that’s my lasting impression of you too. Every thread that I’ve seen you come into (mostly new product threads - whether at announcement or again at launch when people are opening it), it’s been to take a flying dump on that product. So much so that I’ve taken a few cuts at you about it.

I dont think anyone is angry at you per say. I think it's more of the fact that you came across as your were the "person" that caused Topps to reply.

I'll admit that I didn't say anything to them about it cause honestly, my luck isn't too great so I didn't think that I would pull a wood mini.

I hope that Topps puts them into cases this year (last years woods and this years woods).

I agree with this. I do think some sort of action should be taken. It wouldn’t make everyone happy, but something is better than nothing at all.

I don’t agree that this is the “cost of doing business” as you previously stated. I work for a large manufacturing company that is publicly-traded and there’s no way we would say “we don’t know”, “sorry, but it’s the cost of doing business”, or “our third party vendor did it, so not our problem”. That would be wrong. I also disagree that they couldn’t make a statement if they found the packer screwed something up. They should absolutely tell the truth. Disclosure is important.

Inserting them in the 2019 release as you mentioned would be better than nothing and would make the product even more popular. Doesn’t make whole those who purchased 2018, but that would be for those folks to decide whether or not that bothered them enough to not buy anymore.

In terms of 2019, I’m curious what the stained glass minis and box topper rip cards will look like. It’s good to see they tried something new in a couple areas.
