I bet everyone who rightfully complained about the omission of the wood mini 1/1's last year will buy again this year.

If you really wanted to prove your point, DO NOT BUY Ginter.

What mindless addicted sheep we are..

That just kills a branch of the line.

You don't buy Topps in general. sadly, it wouldn't do much considering how hard the presses are working these days.

Haha - saw you put this same one in Stadium Club... you need a little web macro to auto post to all the new BlowoutBuzz press releases.

Get Topps attention to get some Vlad love before the fall!

Topps is so slow with Ginter. Unlike UD and Goodwin

But they are finally realizing the value of putting 5 dollar objects in cards

Coins tokens fossils and pretend creatures

Hopefully it keeps going on this direction

We've gone round and round about what would breathe new life into ginter. None of that happened. It's the same set, re-skinned. The Presidential relics will draw interest, but everything but the best hits will be pretty much worthless. I'm a long time single case-breaker of Ginter and collector of each set to this point, but I will not be breaking this year and would hope that others who paid attention to the missing wood minis last year tread carefully...

The JFK relic looks great, Id love to see more presidential relics in this. I also really liked the sunken treasure coin cards last year but there needs to be more of them instead of a few total. The cards look great with the partial background, Im wondering how that will translate to the black ginter X set. Ginter is still one of the main products I look forward to every year and it was the first product I ever bought a full case of the first year it came out.

Topps sees that it sells ... when there's a big drop-off for whatever reason is when they re-tool and make dramatic changes.

Should be on site Monday or Tuesday, depending on who's on/off/holiday schedules/etc.

Do you have any examples of Topps retooling a product? Not doubting you, just curious what they did

If something tanks these days, they may just punt or use some stuff that was popular in a brand elsewhere. Stuff like National Chicle, Topps Lineage, Ticket to Stardom and Unique come to mind.

Museum Collection wasn't Museum Collection in its first year it was Topps Marquee. More of just a name change and some change in its feel. I'm sure there are others that have evolved some but it's also often slow in happening. I think punting happens more these days than dramatic changes. Gypsy Queen has had some interesting changes, for example, but still feels similar to what it is.

Ginter is still with us because it's popular.
