I'm confused - are we still talking about Jazz? And what's a liberal top 100 list? One that has over 100 players?

If we ARE talking about Jazz... I don't know if I've seen a list he ISN'T in that 50-75 range on.

So I agree with the others that he likely is still Top 100 and I don't see them dropping him.

Yeah, he has been terribad this season but at least the walks are up

Looking like an ultra poor man's version of the old Gallo at best

He's like a miniature poor man's Joey Gallo. FWIW, when I saw him in the AFL I didn't think he was an average MLB SS. The quickness is there, but his reactions were slow and his arm was soft. I pegged him as a future 2b or cf.

Perhaps (although I don't know why I would), but I'll tell you this. I've made my own list every year for many, many years and if there is one type of player I have done better than the consensus, it is high pt/mediocre stat/extreme youth types. Just being 18 and getting 500+ PA in full season ball is a huge predictor of future success, let alone doing it with a .150 ISO and prior year dominance/hotness.

Wilmington (hitters) has been terrible this year, I’m going to go out on a limb and suggest Melendez, Pratto and Matias are struggling because of poor development and not a lack of talent.

I was confused at first but I think they’re talking about Heliot.

Talking about Heliot Ramos simultaneously. That's where the no top 100 discussion is from.

That's a good comparison though. I've seen them both in person and up close. I've also looked at both of their stats. Heliot Ramos is (and was at the start of the year) a better prospect than Jazz Chisholm.

I used to think that way. In fairness to Gallo, Gallo is one of the highest producing hitters in the league. So a poor mans Gallo at short will be pretty good!

Ramos had a rough start/middle of the year before finishing strong last year. I'm slightly invested in him, and this year he's really turned it up a notch walking at a higher rate, with more power and a solid average. The K's are still a little concerning, but if he keeps the walks up, and continues with this power he will be a good player down the road. He is still only 19 years old

Is Wilmington an extreme pitcher's park? Matias, Melendez and Pratto all have sub .600 OPS's. In fact, looks like the only hitter doing much of anything is Kyle Isbel.

It is in fact a pitchers park. However, that doesn't matter if you have a hard time putting the ball in play.

What's crazy is the home/road splits aren't much different for Melendez, Pratto and Matias. All 3 of them batting under .170 doesn't seem possible.

He was hurt in spring training - perhaps he never fully healed? Have there been any articles published highlighting his struggles? Very curious.

Melendez seems to be coming around. 800 ops over the last couple of weeks.

What's the outlook on him? Is he going to be a two way player all the way into the majors?

Wow, Jo Adell at #2. It's sad that he probably won't ever see #1 because of Wander's age. This might ruffle some feathers but I think Adell will be the better player in the long run.

1000000% agree.

Much more advanced, more fluent swing and is a better defender

Needs to stay healthy though
