Crazy as it sounds, he's had a much better year than Tatum, which not too many people saw coming.
So did Ingram, which I’m surprised no one has thrown out there. Idk if he qualifies or not though. But what he was doing after the all-star break was fun to watch.

And whoever said Jaylen Brown . When he gets consistent time and minutes, he’s done well. Been saying it all year. Plus there was something said about a hand injury earlier in the season no one was talking about.

Siakam 31/12/5/2/1.

If you can't see it now, then you probably never will.

Siakam is great, but I don't see the investment potential of a guy who is 25 years old and averaging less than 10 ppg in his career. Those numbers will obviously go up, but he would have to be a real outlier to have any kind of career that would get you a nice ROI.

He came into the league kind of late. I'm not saying he's a super long term hold, but there is definite short to medium term ROI potential, especially when you factor in their playoff seeding. Many of the top stars didn't see their breakout til year 3 or 4.

Siakam has been the best player on Toronto all year.

I do like Siakam as a short/medium-term investment. It will depend on how Toronto does in the playoffs of course, and if they remain atop the East for a few years he could have a nice run. Not sure if Kawhi leaving would help or hurt him either, they certainly wouldn't be as good a team, but also Siakam would become the face of the franchise.

Not only that but he's a "young" 25: redshirted a season in college and started playing basketball less than 10 years ago. Compare that to someone like LeVert, Kuzma or even Mitchell who despite being younger, have probably spent more time playing (competitive) basketball.

I admit, I didn't pay much attention to him coming into the year, but he's playing very impressive 2 way ball and the coach has given him the green light to lead the team in late game situations. He's got perfect size for a wing. Crazy saying it now, but there's a slight chance he may end up having a better career than Tatum, especially when you factor in their team dynamics.
