As a Suns fan, please no. A rookie head coach bringing in Lavar to criticize? No. Just no. You can find 10 posts with me saying they will never improve until they find a point guard. Just not this one.

I would prefer to keep Josh Jackson. For everyone that has commented on how bad he has been, his last 2 months have been better and he does show the acumen to be a defensive guy first in this league. I don't think we are done seeing him grow now that he knows his limitations (and the Suns do as well).

Plus what will the roster even look like? LeBron, AD and then a handful of bench players? Ok..
Ingram is a bum. Have you watched his games lately? He’s solid, but this is lebrons prime/tailing off. If the lakers land AD it will change the lakers. He will follow lebron and he will become the next star in LA if he goes there.

Get a few shooters and this team will be fine imo

What are people talking about when referring to Ingram and Kuzma as bums? Kuzma is at 19 ppg on over 46% shooting and Ingram is at 17 ppg on 49% shooting. The league must all be bums except for about 25 players.

Kuzma isn’t close to a bum. I don’t like Ingram as a player. Have you watched him play? He plays like AK47. Scrawny, lanky and can’t shoot well. The past several games he has done very well, but if you watch the games he isn’t getting good/clean shots up (jump shots).

It very early to be judging anything, but these are just my impressions of Ingram when I watch him live

Apparently LA just backed out of talks which is not surprising. Demps is an idiot to not have taken that offer the Lakers put on the table. I hope that he sits out the year and leaves so the Pels get nothing

The Pels won't get nothing. He's still got a year left on his contract. plent of teams will trade for that year.

I think the Lakers are a little bit of a toxic organization. Just like D'Angelo Russell has kinda taken off now that he has had some growth away from LAL I wouldn't be surprised if that happened to Ingram or Ball. Kuzma excels there at times and can shoot on some level so he is the best guy for the Lakers to try and keep.

But if Ingram was in NOP or Washington or wherever he goes I could see good times for him and his card holders.

Ya. And Woj still said the Lakers are open to engage in talks. It sounds like they are done throwing offers out there, but will listen if NO just lays out who/what they want.

The best hope is Demps is fired by the deadline.

You think so? Other teams are looking at what happened with the Lakers thinking "who wants to deal with that guy if his ask is that outrageous".

I really hope AD sits until they trade him

I completely read Woj's tweet last night as the Pelicans wanting (4) first and second round picks.

The LA Times says the Pelicans requested 6 - 8 picks including four 1st rounders in their most recent offer.

Demps is out of his mind.

Not really, you ask for the world and hope someone is desperate enough to say ok. The Lakers are almost there.

AD won't "sit out" the rest of the season. NO will just not play him.

For sure. I think the ask from the Lakers is higher than the ask from anyone else will be. The bad blood is real. I also think the Pels want a established player as well so they can try and compete and the Lakers don't really have any guys who fit that.

That's absurd, nobody will come close to that and it's obvious at this point LA ain't gonna pay that. What they offered seems fair and if I were the Lakers I'd just bank on FA at this point.

If that's the case, demps is even dumber than I thought. No chance of them getting a player or a group of players that makes them competitive now or in the near future.

They need to blow it up at this point

Maybe so. But given they don't want to trade Holiday says a lot about where they see themselves.

Yea, I guess it's time to be realistic about your team at this point.

If they wanna keep Jrue that's fine but they absolutely need young talent and/or lots of draft capital

The problem is i think the Laker assets are way over valued at this point. Ingram meh. Ball comes with Lavar. Kuzma solid. Picks, probably middle or low end as long as Lebron plays.

1) AD doesn’t make the decision if he just sits out - he would lose his free agent status if he refused to play He’s on contract with the Pels through 2020
2) there’s still plenty of time for if not the Lakers but other teams to make offers
3) If the offer was so great and would have benefited the franchise how come they didn’t accept
I will answer #3 for you

- Pelicans had ALL leverage
- Pelicans best offers WILL come this summer
- Lakers had high bar in negotiations which they CANNOT meet now

The Lakers have reportedly "pulled out" of any additional trade talks with the Pelicans regarding Anthony Davis.

The Lakers most recent offer included Lonzo Ball, Kyle Kuzma, Brandon Ingram, Josh Hart, Ivica Zubac, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and two future first-round picks, but the Pelicans wanted an additional 4-6 draft picks, which the Lakers called "outrageous." The Lakers are still happy to engage with the Pelicans should New Orleans reach out to Los Angeles with a counter-offer, but they are done with bidding against themselves. It would be surprising to see AD dealt at the deadline.

LeBron is already old. That is why the Lakers are offering as much as they are. If NO wants to make them wait a year, they might as well wait two unless the price is a lot less. No one is going to offer what the Lakers are willing to give now for a one year rental.
