Westbrook/Iverson is good. I also like Richmond/DeRozan and Derrick Coleman/Boogie Cousins from that list.

In the history of the league there is no comparison to Bird

He can get you 60
He can be the best player on the floor taking 6 shots
50-40-90
Clutch
Can grab 20 rebounds
Can get 15 assists
Great team defender
Quiet alpha personality

Don’t know anybody else like him ever

There is no today's equivalent to Magic, Bird or Jordan.

LeBron best comp is Dr. J.
Curry best comp is Jerry West even though he is a little earlier
Westbrook - Iverson is good
Leonard - Pippen is good
Paul - Stockton is good
Green - Rodman is good
Durant - Rick Barry
Harden - Maravich
Davis - Garnett
Giannis - Barkley

A few of them are 70s guys but are better comps than any later players.

By the same logic there is no equivalent to LeBron, not even Dr J.

So to so that there is no equivalent in the history of the game to Bird, Magic, MJ and LeBron..... I'm ok with that.

Clint Capela- Dikembe Mutombo
Javele Mcgee- Shawn Bradley
Doesn't Giannis look like a young Durant? Durant's game is alot smoother though while Giannis seems like he forces shots at times.

Interesting. Watching Capela play vs Golden State I really thought of him a lot like Ben Wallace but Dikembe is a pretty good one too.

That’s a pretty solid list right there.

His individual shortcomings are irrelevant as basketball is a team game, and without Curry, the Warriors simply aren’t that great, even with KD. I think the Magic comp is about as close as you can get in terms how what he is to today’s game, while having a different skillset and obviously not the same legacy to date.

I've always thought Carmelo Anthony as the modern version of Iceman Gervin. Both two of the best scorers of their times, but not appreciated nearly enough as they deserve because they didn't play on successful playoff teams.

Yeah I don't understand it. Most ppl just can't stand the guys that are cool. Ice was a pimp. and apparently carmelo does not fall far from the tree in that regard either. Haha

All in all a very good list, but Mahmoud Abdul Rauf is being compared to a two-time MVP? I get some guys don't like Curry but, let's go ahead and use a comp like Steve Nash or someone approaching an All-Star if we are pulling 1990's guys to compare to Curry.

His style of play is very similar to Curry.

I watched a highlights video last year comparing the two.

I think the closest thing to Larry Bird is Lebron.

Bird was an insane passer as well, one of the best ever. He could toy with any opponent he wanted just like LeBron, MJ, or Curry.
