Agreed but they also need to lower fees. If the PWCC's and Probstein's can do almost the exact same things that COMC does but charge 15% total fees or less, COMC charging 40% isn't going to cut it. I'm already starting to list direct with Ebay on items that would have normally gone to COMC and that won't change until they get competitive.

It actually ends up being 36% total if/when you cash out - not that it really helps the medicine go down.
If you just use funds to buy more stuff it's the 20% - with the cash out fee hanging over your head on funds if you ever do cash out.

Add in submission and storage fees and it gets back to around 40%. I know we are essentially saying the same thing though and the bottom line is that fees are too high regardless if you cash out or not. Even if you don't, they are still higher than the big consignment sellers and that will need to change for this relationship to work.

That's the part most people don't get. Most COMC sellers have priced in 20% or more to account for sales and or fees. I personally accept 20% offers on all my COMC cards. So "losing" 20% on eBay sales is the exact same thing as selling on COMC for me.

If they choose to block me that is fine, but going a week with no reply to emails is poor service. |

I have seen 1/1s I wanted on there and just waited for someone to buy them and list it on eBay based on the issues they have had before. Thought their new eBay system would change things.

You could give them a quick phone call if you want it resolved quicker.
I usually e-mail and get a response after a day or two. Quote:

I purchased twice before from them. One time a handful of cards of a PC guy and all were regular card size no issued. Second time I purchased a handful of cards and two were thicker than a typical patch card and crammed into a toploader. I was told the cards were packaged securely and safely, so I had to do a complaint with my Credit Card company to get a resolution. This is why I was hesitant to buy from them but I figured with a massive overhaul to eBay meant they had possibly gotten their game together and they realized that they needed eBay and were going to do things correctly. |

This is one I've heard a few times - you would think it'd be really easy for them to figure out how to fix this issue. Train the staff - if the card doesn't slide in easily, you need to go up one size.

In my email, as again one of the cards is oversized I have asked for it to be protected properly during shipping, as well as asked for a combined invoice.

I'm still blown away, as I sit here day 9 with no shipment being mailed, that one day they decide to raise the priority fee over 30% yet take 8 more days (so far) to process the priority option.
Truly a terrible change. Pay more, get far less.

Do you choose priority or priority rushed? It seems you choose the normal one. With comc new shipping rates, normal priority shipping takes up to 15 days to package/ship.

That didn't take too long. 3 out of the 4 cards I have on COMC already up on eBay (Josh Bell not listed, which is why I initially decided to click but sure it'll make it on there). It made me look at my title and a lot of others, not the best for instance:
2014 Bowman Draft Picks & Prospects #CTP-30 Brandon Nimmo /25 New York Mets 9y4 Guessing most people would be searching "Nimmo orange refractor /25" and would not see it. I wish we could see all their sold not having to go through feedback, would be cool to see.

You see, the priority before they got on ebay was 35% cheaper and went out within a day. Now, its more expensive and can take 14 extra days. So they are charging me MORE, for far LESS. That's a problem. I'm paying the extra .25 cents a card, plus they are charging me $5 over what it actually cost to ship in a priority small flat rate. Its insane.

If they were taking an unprotected card and throwing it in a flat rate (like some eBay sellers seem to do) - you could call foul on the charge. They also have to pay someone to find your card, sleeve it, possibly topload, package in a team bag. Box and secure the box from movement. Someone prints the label and finishes the package before handing off to the USPS. There is more cost to them than just the postal charge.
I've always thought about it this way to help me get over paying the $30-40+ I usually spend on a shipment. I've also seen in the past, that after insurance and signature confirmation they lose money on my shipments just paying for the postage. The shipping seems high for sure and it initially was the thing that kept me away from COMC as a buyer. Once I broke it down and looked at it closer it made me feel better (still not entirely okay) with what they charge. In regards to the time it takes to package and ship - they need to do better. End of story there.
