Default Joe DiMaggio's Last Will and Testament... In a Cut Signature Card?

Card #1

Card#2

Seems as if Topps got their hands on a bit of Golden Joe's legal papers. I think I would much rather have a draft of his will that was signed 20+ times as opposed to a few cards...

I would blame their estate for not finding the right buyer for something like this.

This might have been a lawyer's copy.

This is fairly morbid.

I'm sure there are people that see nothing wrong with it, and that's fine.

But... the guy's will?

Ugh.

Do a little creative cutting, Topps.

Well...not necessarily HIS will...it is POSSIBLE that the signature came from someone elses well and he was acting as a witness...

-Possible, but more likely an acknowledgement signature appearing at the bottom of each page of his Will or Trust.

That document should have been in a museum or similar venue, not cut up by Topps.

Topps should have created a "die" cut signature card for his last will signature.

They have his cut auto to put in products which people in turn want to buy to have a chance at said card.

It could have been an old will and not that one that was in force and effect at the time of his death. Either way, cool relic and auto.

It being a will cut didn't help them.

It being a cut autograph of Joe D did.

It happens to be a will, meaning topps is willing to cut anything up to make money.

I stated topps will do anything to make money.

I think you miss understood.

It feels a little morbid for them to cut up his will (if that's what it was), but why would his will be in a museum?

It's a legal document. Like signing rental papers. Dum dums acting like it's Anne Frank's Diary.

This is my thought as well. This may even be a bad comparison but much like a "legend" player's jersey, there are just some things that shouldnt be tampered with.

Copy or not this is one of those things

It's a piece of Joe DiMaggio history, the bookend if you will and would fit into many places but somewhere in San Francisco would make sense for one of its favorite sons.

As stated above, there is very little chance he had only a single will. He may have updated it yearly, and had a number of them in his files. After he died, his estate put many of his legal documents up for auction, unless the document really has exceptional content, they usually don't sell for much more than a regular cut auto.

I actually think it's kind of cool, since you know it is likely 100% real, unlike a majority of cut signatures.
