Manziel to be the Browns Starting QB for the rest of the season

I don't care if they lose out or if they win out. I just want to see what we have in Manziel so we can actually try and draft accordingly.

See what you have. Not sure what took so long. McCown wasn't taking the Browns anywhere. Johnny could use some talent around him though. Not much at the WR spot.

He's started 3 games and has thrown for 933 yards 5 TD's and 2 picks. It's about time they just made it official.

Hopefully the coaches there know what they are doing though. He doesn't have a great team around him. If they can successfully differentiate between good performance and win-loss record if he does well, then it will work. If they end up saying "he went 0-6 or 1-5, he's no good, dump him", then this experiment doesn't matter.

The offensive play calling has sucked all year round. Their run plays have nothing to them. They need to take a page out of Seattle's playbook from 2013.

Now let's build a team around this guy. Can we draft a coaching staff? No.....they'll get a kicker first round and try to turn defensive backs into receivers in typical Browns nonsensical fashion.

Yeah. I almost bought a few earlier in the season. They are pretty reasonable, but still too high for me to gamble.

Define a "ton" - he signed a 3 year deal worth 14 million - only 5.25 guaranteed as no one expects him around for the full 3 seasons

A no brainer decision. They have a lame duck coach with the season already over. Need to find out what you got and go from there. I would assume this was an upper management decision

Do you watch Around the Horn? Pablo Torre made this point yesterday...

Basically saying that the ideal situation is for Manziel to play well, look like an NFL QB, but the Browns to still lose as they are in position for the #1 pick

It's quite the debate on the Browns message board right now.

Basically saying "what would Manziel need to show you to not draft a QB if you get a Top 5 pick" and draft someone like Bosa instead to help bolster the non existent pass rush.

I don't know what I want to see yet. Next few weeks are huge.

It does intrigue me if we could draft someone like Bosa, have Manziel play well, and theoretically get Josh Gordon back.

Read what meril hoge recently said about Manziels inability to do 3,4, or 5 step drops. Might be a warning of slow or no development right there.

Manziel will be Mark Sanchez-esque at best this year. If i were a Browns fan id worry he looks just good enough for the team to pass on drafting a QB next year and then he never really develops and falls flat.

At this point in the season, who cares. I had fun in çollege too, but you have to grow up at some point. I get having fun too, but for F's sake, keep it low key. Really glad I never bought any of his cards.

Right? I know guys go to Vegas or their Alma Mater during the bye week, but to make that crappy rap video is childish. I think the Browns are done with him. They may let him start, but I doubt he is in a Browns uni next year.
