Gamblers giving the company's free reign to lower quality and raise prices. All these dorks looking for a payday on Wiggins or whoever the flavor of the month is.

The hobby is evolving and changing, but it is not going in a good direction based on all the other posts on this thread, right???

Easy answer, the people involved in the hobby are what's killing the hobby. Whiny, entitled, the "I didn't get a 4000% ROI on the case/box I just busted so this hobby sucks" crowd for starters haha.

Hobby died when it got to expensive for kids now it's a business no different than going to a casino or playing fanduel looking for that big pay day

This hobby is just like an economy. Its cyclical. Rides high, then crashes into a recession then picks up again. Rinse and repeat!

This is pretty much it. The hobby is definitely dying for a lot of folks. It is being reborn as a business for them.

For me, it's still a hobby.

The hobby died when Panini offered a ridiculous amount to the nba for a sole license

Only winner is the nba
