Default PSA delays. Who is past their Estimated days?

I sent in a 7 Day submission that was received by PSA on July 18th via USPS. That waited 9 days to log my order (July 27th). The first time I called to check the status of my order they used the BS about the Nationals not counting as business days. Now it has actually been 10 business days and they just don;t care. Does PSA have a Calendar that shows holidays?? NO
Now I have spoken to the same rude B---- twice that has told me the word ESTIMATED more times than I would ever like to hear. Today was business day 18 that they have had my cards in their shop, 10 business days that count after the BS of National Show NON business days.
What the hell can I do?

Wait even longer? Seems like thats all you can do at this point...I doubt it's worth your time to cal,l once again, just to receive the same answer.

Some customers have been able to talk their way into a few free vouchers when their submission goes way past the estimated time. Try that when you call. In any event, the rude b---- is actually right. Their times are clearly advertised as estimations.

Well I estimate that I will never submit anything to PSA if their estimates are not remotely close.

Might as well put an estimate of 1 business day at that point.

I'd call back until I got someone else and/or just ask for a manager/supervisor.

Nothing.

But hopefully you didn't replicate your post tone on the phone with them....

A business like psa should have the resources to not make the national a holiday. Major businesses sponsor week long sporting events all the time. That doesn't mean their core operations just shut down. On top of that an estimation is a way to give leniency, but the customer is still paying for a certain service with expectations.

Sorry to hear that.

What bothers me is that there is no rhyme or reason to their operations. I have had 50-day orders logged, graded, and shipped within two weeks. Someone else who submits on the same day might wait eight weeks. Their submissions do not go first-in/ first-out, and that's something that should be fixed.

I sent in a PSA/DNA submission in June and they just shipped yesterday. It was supposed to be a 20 day turnaround.

Ready to really be pissed off? I sent in a 1-card order about 2.5 weeks ago and already have had the card back in hand since Monday. See my avatar. She's a beauty.

I dropped off 10 cards to PSA at a local coin show where they were at here In southern California so I could have my cards re-cased which is supposedly a 5-10 business days turnaround. So they had the cards in hand yet it took 4 days to "log in".... and then took 11 business days until they shipped it out.... so 15 days total to process everything just to have cards re-cased not even graded. They are not known for their turnaround time... Each time I've dealt with them it took longer than they claim.

I'm not really surprised. This is normal business protocol for them.

I say sit back and relax.... LOL. And contemplate if you want a "next time" with them.

That's everyone's dilemma. Then you come across a nice group of 1975 Topps Hall of Famers with nice corners at a yard sale, and PSA is really your only option.

It must be something about the card business. COMC is even worse. If you've ever purchased anything there and actually want to get the cards you know what I mean. These businesses just aren't in any hurry to get you your cards.

I submitted 2 different order at the same time over a month. 1 was done in 3 weeks and the other in 4. Pretty quick to me in light of the 20 (business) day estimate.
Sorry you are having some issues.

I estimate the same as you do... Years ago, much like OP, I sent in an order and it was the best of my best. They couldn't give me any updates, didn't know where it was in the process, etc. Finally, I called and had to leave a message and told them to ship my cards back, ungraded and refund me. 3 days later, the cards showed up, they never called me back, I never used them again.

I disagree with the COMC comment. I recently got back on COMC and made some purchases over the weekend. Put in the shipping request on Sunday night and recieved confirmation that the order was shipped this morning. Not too bad imo.

I have no good solution on how to get them to you on time, but before I even joined their membership I took into account that they are notorious for being late and not compensating anyone for it. I joined with that knowledge and submit cards only to complete the two sets I'm working on and I go with the slowest and therefore cheapest rate.

Another factor to consider is that the cards that are best displayed/ sold in a PSA holder aren't necessarily time sensitive. If I pull a nice Correa colored refractor, I want that thing in a BGS holder and on eBay by this afternoon. If I find a sharp 1968 Clemente, that card will hold its value and it doesn't matter if I get it back next week or in late September.

To ship something four days later? I think that is awfully slow.

You won't have the cards for a week after you requested them. Seems like a long time to me.

That's fine they say estimates but the estimate has to be somewhere close to the actual due date to mean anything. We are talking weeks after it was due on a 7 day submission.

Like someone else said they might as well say 1 day if they are going to be this far off
