2010/11 Panini Limited Case Break - by the hit

Okay guys, I see there is already a proposed team break for this product, but I figured I'd try it by the hit to lower the price a bit. The first thing I'd need is a recommendation on a good web cam, since I no longer have one.

There are 15 boxes/packs in a case and each box/pack has 3 hits with at least one auto. Panini claims that every other box will have two autos, on average . That means a case will have 45 hits. We'll add 3 slots for the base/parallels/extra hits (if there are any this year). The first base slot will get the base/parallels/extra hits from the first five boxes, the second base slot will get the base/parallels/extra hits from boxes 6-10, and so on. A mod will be used to randomize the list of participants (via random.org). The last three names in the random list will get the base slots. The first name will get the first hit pulled, and so on.

This will give us 48 slots. A case is $1300. 1300/48 = $27.08 + $5 for fees/shipping/supplies = $32 for 1st slot and $30 for each additional slot (iluvfish - thanks for helping with the numbers).

The break will be live on either ustream or stickam or blogtv, whatever is preferred by the participants. It will also be uploaded to youtube. Remember guys, I need a recommendation for a good, cheap web cam so I can broadcast this thing.

Configuration: 15 boxes per case. 1 pack per box. 7 cards per pack.

MASTER CASE HIT
One of the following will be in each case:
- An Autograph Memorabilia Rookie #'d to 10 or less (Material Phenom Gold and Platinum Spotlight)
- An Autograph Prime Memorabilia #'d to 10 or less (Freshman Jumbo Prime Signatures & Jersey Numbered Prime Signatures, Jumbo Prime Signature and Jumbo Jersey Numbered Prime Signatures, Decade Dominance Prime Signatures, Glass Cleaners Prime Signature, Retired Numbers Prime Signatures)
- A Limited Trios Signature #'d to 49 or less

BOX BREAK
- Three Autographs or Memorabilia Cards (One Autograph Guaranteed. On average, every other box will deliver 2 Autos, 1 Memorabilia Card)
- One Legend or Parallel #'d to 199 or less
- Three Cards from the following: Common, Insert or Parallel #'d to 199 or less

PRODUCT HIGHLIGHTS
- On-Card Autographs for Glass Cleaners, Decade Dominance and Retired Numbers including such players as Elgin Baylor, Oscar Robertson, Scottie Pippen, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, George Gervin, Calvin Murphy and Kobe Bryant
- Look for Limited Trios Signatures of current stars and All-Time Greats such as Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, Allen Iverson, Jason Kidd and Steve Nash -all #'d to 49 or less
- Jumbo Prime Signatures #'d to 5 or less
- Each Base Card limited to just 249 copies
- Base Set 100 cards #'d to 199
- 40 Rookies #'d to 249

This doesn't release for a few weeks, but it would be nice to start getting payments now so I can get it ordered. However, I won't require payment until 10/20 (the week before the release date, which will give us time to find replacements if we have non-payers).

Once the slots are filled and paid for, a moderator (probably fish) will randomize the list of participants using random.org. Whatever names hit for slots 46, 47, and 48 will be the base slots. It's all random.

yea, i was gonna take 3 or 4 spots but not if it is some random thing where anyone is stuck with the base cards.

Why do base anyway Drop the base and that makes it what another $3 a spot. I sure would pay $3 more to make sure I didn't get a base spot (or 2).

The base slots may not turn out to be too bad. It includes all of the parallels, so there's a chance of a 1/1 or a low-numbered rookie or something cool. I had a base slot in a break of Topps Tribute and it was probably the second best slot of the break.

Plus, the base slots get any of the extra hits if there are any this year. There have been extra hits in Limited in the past.
