Default Indy's Comic Picks for 8.12.15

Indy's Weekly Hot, Cool and Collected Comic Picks a week before anybody else!

Midtown is live for 8.12.15!!!

Batman #43 - New Villain Mr. Bloom makes his 1st appearance.
DC Comics Bombshells #1 Lupacchino Variant - Success of Starfire variant will make this #1 a hot book due to her art.
Justice League Gods And Monsters #1 Cooke Variant - These variants have been selling out week after week, don't see this week being any different.
Beauty #1 Frison Variant - Intriguing new story, and Frison art is just gorgeous.
Walking Dead #145 - Looks like Michonne might be pissed.
Star Wars Lando #2 - Star Wars books are a great buy and hold right now, and this book had a great #1 issue, worthy of picking up #2.

Keeping checking this thread throughout the week for news and views........ :eatit:

Batman 43 with the introduction to Mr. Bloom should be good.

Michonne is most definitely not going to be happy. And when Michonne ain't happy, ain't NOBODY happy. *snaps fingers*

Beauty #1 - Modern society is obsessed with outward beauty. What if there was a way to guarantee you could become more and more beautiful every day? What if it was a sexually transmitted disease? In the world of The Beauty, physical perfection is attainable. The vast majority of the population has taken advantage of it, but Detectives Foster and Vaughn will soon discover it comes at a terrible price.

I recently read The Beauty Pilot Season 1-shot from 2011 and I really liked it!
I'm very much looking forward to the new series. I think it's an interesting premise and the artwork/covers by Jeremy Haun for the new ongoing look great!

I read an interview with Snyder that gave spoilers to issue #43. It gave away quite a bit. This issue should be intersesting.

Yep, getting hooked on these covers. i have a few pre-ordered as its the only way I can get a hold of one, finding them in the wild is near impossible for me, lucky if the big shops have 2 on the shelf by noon when I can get there.

Since it's so timely, I thought I'd share my Q&A with Bombshells artist Marguerite Sauvage:
10 Questions With Comics Brewmaster Marguerite Sauvage

Her line work is so beautiful and perfect for those characters!

I just read it. My initial reaction? That issue KICKED ASS!!! Wow. Awesome.

Sharks with horns!!!

Mr. Bloom is one creepy, strange dude.. Wow.. Loved it.

So much story in this issue.. Fantastic takes on the future and who/what/how/where with Bruce Wayne...

Snyder is adding entirely new legend here, it's fantastic.

This came out today as well for the kiddies.. Home #2

#1 was actually pretty entertaining.. After reading my kid the Frozen book a few months back, which was loosely based on the movie story line, I was expecting the same with Home..but it doesn't follow the movie whatsoever which was a nice treat.

Odd thing happened, today, on Bleeding Cool.
They posted this "Speculator Corner" about the newest issue of Orphan Black, then deleted it.

I'm a fan of the show, so I was excited to hear this! I remember in the article they quoted someone from IDW confirming that it was true and it's not a big stretch since the show-runners are writing/plotting the comic.

What do you think happened here? Did the IDW insider ask to have it removed..? Was the story false? I haven't read it, yet. Have any of you??
