Default COMC question - [Must Be Authenticated]

Hi all -

Quick question; I had cards upload to my account for pricing but a few are labeled like this after the card name:

[Must Be Authenticated]

Do you guys know if this means that I have to submit for Beckett or can I just use the COMC review?

Thanks for your help, I am being very impatient today and although I find that my COMC emails get pretty quick replies I don't feel like waiting to catch up with the West Coast time change.

Thanks!

I had this happen to a few autos that they didn't realize were pack pulled. If they feel that they are IP's, they will not list them and will put "needs to be authenticated". Unfortunately for me, I paid to submit them and then paid to ship them back to me so they wouldn't be stuck in limbo and shortly after, they listed some from someone else's exact cards as certified.

You can contact them directly to ask why they need to be authenticated. I have done so in the past and had them list the cards after a review.

Default thanks to those who chimed in.

I emailed as suggested; your thoughts were much appreciated.

Yeah, I've seen the same thing where they marked people's submissions all as at a different shipping location or they continued using a "Poor to Fair" bucket for cards where the cards were at the regular location. They will normally catch it and make corrections themselves, but you can also click the "Report Error" overlay when you mouseover a card and request corrections to specific items. Those have been getting processed very fast recently. Maybe there are incentives for the employees to clear those out quickly?

Oh, and thanks for your big sale last week! I kept coming back for more cards from you.

This is there way of holding your items hostage, all for a lousy 50 cents! The biggest issue I have with the whole idea of it is completely subjective to the ID person as to what will or will not get listed. If they had a list posted and you ignored it, then I am fine with what they are doing. I do not accept the current method, it is nothing more than a money grab.
