Default Blowout Forums has made me weary of an eBayer...

I am currently selling this Lavine

http://imgur.com/kLxQec5

Ebayer ioxoo is offering me 1100 for right now. The problem is, he has been put on blast here before about some MJ and Kobe fakes.

I confronted him on the the issue and he denied faking anything, only that he has bought and resold those cards.

He has 100% positive feedback and rovided proof of have other lavine 1 of 1s and is a collector.

So here I am, not sure who to trust. lol

This post was really just to advertise your listing right?

it's a live auction with bids on it, you can't cancel now.

no not at all. I do not believe that it would need to be advertised. I am seriously nervous about what to do. I will remove the ebay link and only provide a pic of the card.

Eek ... you're selling those high-end cards with a 0 FB account ... why?!?! You're leaving so much money on the table, likely...

Why are you worried about selling to him? You can't control what anyone does after you sell something to them. $1100 seems like much more than the card is worth, and even if he were a patch-faker ... I doubt he'd fake that one since it's already a logoman tag?

No I am only worried about his integrity and something happening. I have collected a long time, not really a big seller.

He's wrong. You can cancel it as long as there is more than 12 hours left. You will have to cancel all bids first, then you can cancel the auction.

However, you will be charged the Final Value Fee on whatever amount the auction is at when you decide to cancel it. That is one way that eBay attempts to deter off-eBay transactions.

really? i've never been aware of that. would you have to make up a phony reason though? if so, that's what i meant, you wouldn't be able to cancel legitimately.

In my opinion, you should either build up your feedback, use a consigner (probstein) or list your auctions as Buy-It-Now with best offer.

I'd probably pick the latter because right now you can list Buy-It-Now fixed priced for 30 days, for FREE.

This way you can determine who you sell to, and for how much.

By auctioning these with 0 FB you're going to be leaving a lot of $$$ on the table.

My suggestion would be to cancel the auctions, list with Buy-It-Now & Best Offer. Slow play things, then auction if you must. But I would never auction with a 0 FB account...

There are so many cards I pulled the past two days. I am thinking of just doing a youtube video of them and linking it, if that is even allowed here. I got the cards I want for my collection and am wanting to sell everything else.

Like I said in my last post, cancel the auctions and list fixed price Buy-It-Now with best offers.

You can then control who you sell to and how much. By auctioning them off you're likely going to have people bid less and/or be scared away by your 0 feedback.

Yeah, I think that's allowed. Or at least, I've seen people post links to their collections here. Even if it's not allowed, the worst case will be a warning or deletion of the thread.

Do it man. I'm excited to see what else you have lying around. As for making the most $ on them, I agree with paul. Do a "Buy It Now" listing with a "Best Offer" option, and let them sit for a while. That's probably the best way to "milk it".

By the way, have any Warriors cards?!

And I am guessing by it being a buy it now type of thing, My feedback does not come into question?

it'll be no different (when it comes to feedback aka credibility), but at least, you'll likely net more.

no, it just makes it that you sell for what you want it to. Because on an auction the buyers determine it. I would pull that Wiggins RPA /25 off too. Thats a big one you don't want to let go for not as much as you want

I am also past the twelve hour mark. I do show an "End Item" option? is that how I cancel the auction? or does that give it to the current high bidder?

Guys I absolutely appreciate all the feedback and help. A ton. So could I just add Buy It Now options to these cards?

It does, but serious buyers will still contact you and make offers. If you auction it, they might be more weary. It's a bit odd of a situation, but that's how it would work. At least, that's how I would feel as a buyer.

With 0 FB, the more items you have "live", the better I'd feel as a buyer. So if you had 50 mid-high end "auctions" end with 0 FB, I'd feel as though you were running a scam for a quick loan.

If you had 50 fixed price, and I wanted one or two cards, I'd make you offers and feel comfortable knowing you still had live listings and weren't going to "run off".

I think that's how most other buyers would feel as well. I've been in the hobby buying/selling for 15+ years, so hopefully this advice helps!

no. take them both down. Then list them at high BIN/OBO. then see what happens with the offers. No auction at all

i'd have to leave this question to paul or OKC, i really don't know as i've never cancelled an auction myself. but i hope to learn too. maybe they meant 12 hours remaining in the listing (if so, you're okay as all your listings seem to have >12 hours left)
