Oh damn. They really went and redeemed themselves with this. Can't believe they are releasing so quickly after the regular set that came out last week. Sales must have been realllly poor. Wonder if this is replacing Chrome or if they will still have that set release in late summer.

Ya saw CardboardConnection list this now as a August 26th release date. This definately replaces Chrome now (since MLS released Chrome in August last year), you would have to think. Gotta step up auto list though, Lampard, Gerrard, Giovinco, Kaka etc, should be priorities!

I think I'd rather have another Chrome than this, even though Chrome breaks were usually brutal. This looks like a good set though.

The Apex set does look quite nice. I really like the jumbo patches and it's cool to see a ball/auto relic. The card design is light years ahead of the MLS 15 set Topps just put out. I can't say enough bad things about that release but no need to rant on that.

I'm really hoping they didn't scrap the Chrome set though. Chrome sets have always been my fav in any sport aside from Flawless. Nothing beats the Superfractors and the mini throwback auto cards were awesome from last year. Save Chrome!!!

looks pretty sweet. definitely more appealing than chrome. has anybody even broke a hobby box of 2015 topps yet? the $97 price point is too farfetched for the MLS. but it seems that is the price every year before it gets knocked down. 2013 is $38 a hobby box now...

Which is about $20 too much. Plenty of cards popping up on ebay so people are breaking. Good for them and good for me.

My guess would be in the range of $70-$85, but i'm only guessing.

GTS isn't taking preorders until starting April 22. Guessing that is when we will start to see what retailers will be charging.

That seems extremely cheap for retail price. Don't see this being anywhere close to at least $60 minimum

Sounds like an awesome deal at that pricepoint, I'd definitely go crazy breaking it at 40/box.

I haven't seen any really high-end patches in the current 2015 release, so maybe they're sitting on stickers and patches for this release. If they already purchased the kits and have the autos in (and if there's not a huge demand for lower-end products like 2015 MLS), it could be a fairly cost-effective way of dealing with surplus inventory. I doubt Topps would be nicely enough to price them under $50, though.

By the sounds of things, the 1/1 cards in Apex are going to include more of the premium parts of the jersey (Adidas logo, Team Crest, etc..)

Found an Asian website taking preorders selling boxes for 5,400 japanese yen.. That equates to $45 US... Very encouraging!
