I live about 45 from Beckett's grading location and have a few PC cards I'd like to get graded. Anyone have any personal experiences with personally delivering their cards to BGS? Do I need to be a member to have cards graded if I show up at the front desk with cards and cold, hard cash? Also, any idea how much $$$ I'd save by cutting out the shipping and insurance costs?

I did this when I lived in Arlington in 2011.
I was already a member so I can't answer that part of your question If you go back and pick them up in person you don't pay any shipping or insurance. I believe you have to either prepay or pay with a credit card when you get there. Call them and they will give you the correct instructions. |

Bumping this back up because I'd like to hear if anyone has more recent in-person experience.
I attempted to call the location, but the grading department rep was not available and their voicemail box was full and could not accept new messages. I don't want to open a can of worms about their customer service, but a full voicemail box doesn't bode well. |

They take walk ins. I've known a bunch of people that have done it.
You'd have to ask them the specifics though.

I know an individual that drops everything off in person to cut out the shipping/insurance. I am not sure if you have to be a member.
I would hope you understand even if you are not paying shipping/insurance you would be paying for the 1 day service which is $25-30 a card. |

I live in plano and it's the only way i get them graded!
Per pic above you have to park on the street! If you park in the lot on the right you could get towed. it's a furniture mover parking lot and they got all pissy when i tried to park there. You save a good deal in not shipping especially if you pick them up as well! You just buzz the comm(there's' a button for beckett grading) when you get there and someone will let you in. It's much faster if you have the grading forms already filled out! Also, might want to call ahead just to verify someone will be there when you get there! PM if you have any questions! Also, No you do NOT have to be a member to drop off

I live 10 miles from the Dallas one, and I have always dropped my cards off. You just have to hit the buzzer and it calls a grader out to let you in the building. This is how i have always done my subs with them.

If you are a first time submitter, you may have to ship to in order for them to create an account for you.
Once your "in" service level is great, much better than shipping

![]() PSA recommends you use Card saver 1 for each card. The reason: They cut the cards out of card savers, while top loaders need the card to be 'banged' out the top. Whether you use a toploader or card saver 1, you should place the card in a soft sleeve first, place in the holder of your choice, tape the top, tape your stack together, place cardboard on the top and bottom of your stack and wrap in padding. |
