Default My BIGGEST mailday EVER!!! Kuechly fans come on in!

All right guys. This one is a little different than my usual monthly pickups threads (will have that ready for you guys in a couple of days). For those of you that have dealt with me before already know, I'm a user of the COMC mailbox service. I basically send all my cards to my COMC account, they scan, store and keep them safe for me, even sell the dupes, and then when I'm set and ready I send them back home. Well, long story short, I let this mother bitch build up and before I knew it I had like 700 cards in the backlog lol! I set out to send what I needed back, but it turns out they charge you by the weight for express... That was WAAAAAAAY too expensive for me, so I just had a package of like 80+ cards the 1/1's, /5 and some /10's and such sent home first (still cost me $80 something argh). I'll take care of the remaining 600+ another time...

Fast forward to today, I went to the post office to pick up this big fat pregnant box from COMC. I was pretty disappointed in missing out on a card yesterday that I didn't see, so I needed this as a pick me up and boy did it help! Many of you probably take it for granted, but I miss the days of tearing open a bubble mailer and trying to salvage the pube encrusted toploaders covered in tape. Haven't had a mailday in a while, so this was quite the shock to my system. Picture an addict getting thrown into a New York blizzard, except replace the snow with cocaine. I'm still shaking at all the goodies and don't even remember some of these cards haha. Big props to COMC for packaging it all safe and sound for me with extra care. They truly are a quality company!

Anyways, here are some sample pics of my haul. I'm not done sorting through it all, so it's just some pics of the packaging and the clusterfug of cards. It's all Kuechly 1/1s, /5s and /10s some others and such with a couple of Jack Ham and I think Peppers and I think that's it. Just wanted to share it all with you guys, as this is a big moment in my collecting career! Thanks to all who helped me add to my collection! Also, big thank you to everyone at COMC for helping make my collection a possibility!

The big box of goodies

Boxes packed to the top! The little chunk of cards is all 1/1's like plates and such without toploaders lol.

Fug yeah! Dumped this poo out like a kid on Christmas!

wow man, that's pretty crazy, must have been a ton of fun, now you have the fun of trying to figure out how you order it all in your boxes, I mess around with how all my cards are organized all the time.

And sorry again about that, at least you know where it's at and that it's safe and sound, lol

They better package it safely for $80. Lol. That's kind of ridiculous.

Very nice! Kuechly has a very promising career ahead of him! I'm sure you already know that.

Nice!

I'm just curious as to why you guys have COMC hold onto your PC Cards? Do you buy them from COMC and say just hold until I'm ready? Or do you buy from various sites and ship them to COMC?

And why? So you don't sell them? So you don't take up space at home?

Just curious, because for me at least, 90% of the hobby PC fun is to look at the cards in hand.

Haha, no worries my friend. Yeah, I like to organize my crap too. Problem is I get really lazy and just don't have the time and space for it all, so I throw them all in a random to do box for god knows how long until I can find the time. And by time I mean get off my ass lol.

Yep they did. The express they go by weight and it would've been like a several hundred dollars or something hilarious like that. This was $40 default and then 0.25,0.45 or $1 handling fee for each card.

Lol, thanks. I'd swim in them if I didn't worry about bending something!

Thank you! I agree, nothing is better than having the card in your hand and looking at it. I can sit on my ass and thumb through my cards and look at them for hours. Sometimes I look and then before I know it it's 4am!

As to why I use COMC, it's a little bit of all the reasons that you stated, but the biggest reason is that I live literally on the border of BC Canada and Washington State. I'm technically in the Whatcom County, but I'm officially on Canadian soil. Most sellers consider sending a package to Canada might as well be dropping it into the Bermuda Triangle, so I just use the COMC service to avoid any headaches.

It's really cool for lazy people like me though. For a fee, they'll process your cards, store and scan them (I hate scanning). It's then up to me what I want to do with them. A lot of the times I forget what I own, so I'll purchase many a duplicate. I usually then list these on my COMC and sell them to pay for my shipping and processing fees. It's pretty fun and addicting sometimes. I did pretty well last month, as someone was buying a fug ton of my stuff, so I used that to fund this little trip for my cards haha.

Only 1 of those tags pulls up more than one thread... Which is severely disappointing.

Thank you! I know right? It's so hard to describe the amount of excitement you get from a package with that many rare cards for your PC guy!
