Do you think the Mets will keep Zack Wheeler?

I am a huge Mets fan and Zack Wheeler is one of my favorite players on the team. He has so much potential. I hope the Mets keep him long enough for him to show what he's actually made of. Thoughts? Do you think the Mets will keep him? Why or why not?

Yes. Great to see another mets fan. He is cheap and that's all you need to be for this team to keep you. He is very good and has great potential but sandy has not made any risky moves in his time as mets GM. He has shown a huge reluctance to trade any young pitchers because he wants the world for them and he doesn't want to make a catastrophic mistake. He doesn't want to trade noah, he doesn't want to trade matz, not harvey, not degrom, no one.

He wants to trade them when it's necessary, its not necessary now

I saw this and knew you'd be in here in a second!

If the Mets are winning when all the SP contracts are coming up, someone will have to go.

Wheeler isnt going anywhere this year, thats pretty much a lock.

You know me, anything mets and I will always be in the thread. It might not be necessary to trade a young one (I think it is), but it would be ridiculous to go into the season with colon, gee and niese

Not any time soon. Could he possibly leave as a free agent down the road? Yes. But there is no chance in hell the Mets trade him before then (unless they start to tank badly somehow and trade him for prospects).
