Bruce Levine of 670TheScore.com reports that the White Sox have agreed to a three-year contract with Melky Cabrera, pending a physical.

Well at least we have our protected 1st round pick lol. I'm really excited but I also realize we've seen teams like the Marlins add a ton of players and they sucked and then Toronto ended up with most of those players and everyone thought they would be good and they weren't. So no guarantees. But hey, if it doesn't work out I guess we can trade those players for prospects lol

But really isn't THAT extreme of a stat. 54 yes sounds nice but that put him in a 6-way tie for 42nd most in the league

Tigers lose Scherzer, I bet a lot of people pick the White Sox as the division winner. Who knows if it happens, but White Sox are building a solid team here. And keeping a lot of talent.

You sign Robertson, LaRoche, Melky and get Shark and only lose the #10 prospect on your top 10 list? Yes please

I'm liking what we are doing. Williams and Hahn really try to put the sox in the best position to win even though it doesn't always work (See Adam Dunn). Should be a fun baseball summer in Chicago!
