Am I crazy to want the panthers to see what he's got?

He was playing solid for the Packers a couple years ago until he got hurt. Then the Packers drafted Lacy and that was that.

Why not try and make a comeback? Few teams out there need a RB and he has had time to recoup! What's the worst that could happen if you took a chance. Good luck to him.

Looks like he's in good shape, but MAN he looks slow on his burst. I doubt he could even break a 5 second 40 right now.
Might be able to crack a depleted roster as a change of pace receiving back though. But I can't see much more than that. I think 90 percent of undrafted college kids could make an impressive 'private work out' tape too. |

He's going to be 32 in December. You can find younger faster RB's out there then him I would think.

How could he even be remotely considered for a team when a guy like Michael Turner hasnt been signed in two years which I have no clue why

Barring a dozen or more RB's going down with serious injuries in next week or 2, I dont see it happening. He looks good physically, been hitting the weight room, but he doesnt look even remotely fast, is on the wrong side of 30, and has been out of football for over a year.....long odds on this one. Grab a young guy without all the mileage, whose faster and cheaper.
