Default Is the Immaculate Baseball verdict in?

I've seen lots of postings. Some say great, some say 'as expected' and some say awful. Your thoughts? And what will box price be in 2 weeks?

Thumbs down. Panini tried to ride the Immaculate Basketball wave but the hits aren't as good, the collation sucks, and 90% of cards are $10 bargain bin junk filler. This is the homeless man's Topps Tier One.

The people who bashed it before it's release will continue to bash it.

The people who liked it before it's release will continue to like it.

Same ole same.

Well considering good fair bad breaks....... and less than 1500 cases of which 75-80% will get opened over the next few weeks, i don't see price dropping below the $185 box.
No doubt it has some HYPE but it's better than 90% topps releases at the same price point.

6 hits for Immaculate compared to three for Tier One. I take Immaculate all day everyday and twice on Sunday. Tear One is terrible, and that's not a spelling error...

As posted above same people seem to bash it even from the beginning.
do you still think cases will be 1700.00+ On dealernet in 30 days?

http://www.blowoutcards.com/forums/b...must-look.html

Compare the quality of the cards. They are very similar, although I think Tier One looks cleaner and sharper, and most importantly contains MLB Logos - I'd take MLB-licensed Logos over 3 more $10 bargain bin jersey swatches all day everyday and twice on Sunday. Airbrushed-out plain cards that try to hide the actual MLB team are a turn-off.

From what I see it's hit or miss just like about any product opened....deff. looks better than Triple Threads. I can see boxes slightly peaking but not going drastic like basketball prices did

Just to amend this I see Tear One is now $93 a box exactly half the $185 I paid for Immaculate. My ass whooping on shed a Tear took place at $120 each. I don't see Immaculate dropping like Tier One. Vote for worst product ever goes to 2011 Topps Precision football. You couldn't give that stuff away...

I think it really depends on how much get's opened during that time period and how it's received over the next 2 weeks in the market. Obviously with how short the print run is
it's got some legs
Like i posted it's got better overall content than most product in the $180-200 range. The product also doesn't have much competition with the timing of the Immaculate release.

If you're going to compare the products, at least make the comparison fair. Based on price, one box of Immaculate equals two boxes of Tier One. The number of hits come out to be the same for the price (though you get more autos with Tier One). Feel free to argue the relative quality of those hits though.

The first five cases I saw had maybe 3-5 cards that may pay for a box by themselves. First was brutal but it did get better. It's up there with Triple Threads in terms of type of product for me, but I actually may prefer TThreads after seeing Immaculate opened.

I really had a lot of fun with my 1 case that I broke. If you want to see what I pulled - I pulled one of the preview cards - the picture is on my twitter - @lisu_bbjunky

Seems like a slightly above average product with unreasonable expectations.

I think it's a better high-end product than Topps has been able to put out. Some of the breaks have been a little disappointing but for the most part I still think it is a nice product. I'll pick some up if it dips below $200 a box.

I like the product but think it has the same problem the tier one's of the world have, way too many players who have no business being in a product like this. Rookies even I've never heard of....

That's the one issue I have with this product. Way too many no-name rookies that I've never heard of in this. Overall I still think Immaculate was a hit.

I liked my 1 box. I mean, helping a Trout auto /5 helps, but I like the overall layout and experience of breaking the box.

I think it is a decent product but no where near the home run alot of people were predicting. I think alot of us got so blinded by all the 1/1 awesome looking cleat cards that we didnt realize that the rest of the cards were going to end up being like most other products. It may be slightly overpriced at 200 but given some of the sick stuff you can pull I think 180-200 is just about the right price point on this.

If you look two posts above yours I did amend my original post. Today you get two (Tears) Tiers for one Immaculate. Unfortunately I paid $120 at my LCS which I always buy some upon release to help out my local business. Unfortunately when their allotment dries up and they have to buy from secondary market then I cannot always pay the higher prices. Between the LCS and online I spend far more than I should but at least I'm not buying drugs or gambling. Well sort of gambling. Small price to pay to get my son off video games and bond with my kids

Looks just ok. I like the quad patches with players u don't normally see all on 1 card. Patch quality is great.
