Default What kind of Grades am I looking at from PSA?

Thanks for allowing me membership to your forum.

I have been absent from the hobby for 25 years. I have recently began going through our large collection of cards my father and I collected years ago. We knew that we had a good and relatively large collection of cards. PSA was not around back then, so we are looking to get these cards graded, which make up just a sampling of our collection in order to auction them off or sell them privately.

If you wouldn't mind, please let me know what you believe I can expect from PSA once the cards are sent off and returned. I know that it sometimes hard to tell from pictures. I am just looking for an initial opinion.

Umm, if those are legit, you're looking at an 8 or better on everything but maybe the Aaron and Brett.

With complete honesty, I can assure you they are real. Many years ago, my father met a gentleman that was associated with Mr. Mint. So many of the 1954s and 1955s (we have almost a complete set) came out of one of his finds.

The others are from the same gentleman, who acted as a broker in finding us what we were looking for.

If true, that Mantle is worth a fortune. I would carefully get them outta those screwdowns ASAP. BTW, welcome to the forums.

They're so nice I thought they were reprints at first. If the rest of the cards you have (even the commons) are this nice you're sitting on a small fortune. PSA 8's and above can command crazy prices from PSA set collectors.

The centering and especially the registration on these is incredible. You and your father did a very good job of finding good examples of these cards in the pre-grading era. It's going to pay off for you big time if you're looking to sell them.

Any guess of grade based on those pics would be irrelevant. One pic of a front of a card isn't near enough to get an accurate assumption.

WOW! These are beautiful. Welcome to the boards, and please definitely let us know when you get these back. I'd LOVE to see some pictures of these beauties once they're slabbed.

The Killebrew is probably too OC too but, amazing cards nevertheless.

Let us know how they turn out!
