Default Unique Archie Goodwin PC Pickup

For those of you who read the B/S/T threads, I am an Archie Goodwin super-collector. I have hundreds of his cards, maybe 150 autos & patches (a lot more by the time you read this), his Prizm rainbow, his Certified rainbow, his Preferred Die Cut Rainbow, his Spectra patch auto rainbow...I watched his Suns games, I watched his Summer League games, and I was one of a handful of people who watched his games online while he was assigned to the Bakersfield Jam D-League.

The Jam ran a Twitter contest where they gave away an autographed Goodwin jersey (I'm still not sure if it's game used or not, but I'll find out...Update: It is game used). A guy, who lives minutes down the road from me, won the contest. He wound up following my account, so I messaged him about acquiring it and, luckily, he said he wasn't much of a collector. I picked it up from him yesterday, and I love it! It's definitely the best piece of the collection so far. Now, I just need to get my hands on a game used Suns jersey and some sneakers.

I had a chance to meet Archie on Saturday, as the Suns hosted a free scrimmage in Flagstaff. He signed my jersey and a couple of team photos. I finally got to ask him about the Bakersfield Jam jersey and he said it's game used!

My wife snapped a few pics of Archie signing autos with Eric Bledsoe.

There's me (or the back of my head) talking to Archie. I need a haircut.

Yes, I am. I appreciated the deal on that. It's always nice to complete rainbows.

Thanks, I took some pics back in March (Archie retweeted the collection), but I've acquired so much more since then. I'll post it all here when I have the time to present it nicely.

can't wait man. see that is sweet when the player actually interacts and acknowledges your collecting accomplishments of them

Agreed. Athletes don't have to do that, but it's great when they do. Isaiah Thomas followed me on Twitter after I posted my collection (albeit much smaller) when he got traded to the Suns. That was pretty cool as well. I've since used much of my IT2 collection to buy/trade for more Goodwin.
