New York City/Long Island - Trading Group

Hey Guys,

I'm thinking about putting together a group that gets together, drinks beer, trades cards and opens up boxes in the New York City/Long Island area. I know it sounds super immature, but I've made some great friends in this hobby and thought that it would be cool to get some great people together, watch some sports and network.

If you are interested and are in the area, let me know who you collect, and after I get a good list, we can talk about how many times we should get together and where we can have events.

After we get our group, we can shoot out a group email to everyone, with whom they collect, and we the other members can bring those cards, to facilitate themselves with trading.

Wow... must be nice. There's ONE frigin' card shop in the ENTIRE STATE of New Mexico.

Cheapest wax is at the Tri County Flea Market on Long Island. There is also a lot of space there to sit and trade. Don't think you can drink beer in there but there are a few bars across the street.

Now there is a blast from the past. Didn't think the wax was cheap there but haven't been there in awhile , i do know that you cannot drink there ..unfortuantely

Absolutely...did we meet there once by any chance? I recall running into someone from here who was busting Prizm Basketball with a friend of mine.

Lol I'll totally be at the White Plains show unfortunately. It's not as bad as the Hofstra shows, though. There are like 2 dealers with anything good at a reasonable price in WP and unfortunately, nobody sells wax for a good price anymore. It's mostly dealers saying "Oh man, I'll sell you that Panini Prizm box at cost...$95...and I can't even make money off of that price." Lol that's a real price a guy gave me at the March show up there
